I am team chiggs all the way but feel like they will give it to crystelle. I think he has had a fantastic year and sort of deserves it more. I know that might be wrong to say.

What are your thoughts

I’d be happy with chigs winning but I’d prefer it to be jurgen or Giuseppe. I’m not keen on crystelle

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 17/11/2021 08:07

I think it will be guiseppe, but I really like them all, even the top 4 it could have been any of them, but one had a less good night, shame!

MissyB1 · 17/11/2021 08:10

I’m traumatised by Jurgen going out last night! He did the best in the technical, and although they thought his showstopper lacked colour, they said the flavour was spot on. Yet Guiseppe’s showstopper lacked flavour. So why did Jurgen go out?🤔

Now Jurgen is gone I’m struggling to want any of the others to win! Definitely not Crystelle anyway, she comes across as a bit fake.

DipItAgain · 17/11/2021 08:11

Jurgen was robbed. I'm annoyed they didn't bend the rules and have all four in the final. Smacks of a production decision because the others are more marketable / media friendly.

angelopal · 17/11/2021 08:13

Would be happy with Chigs or Guiseppe. Not a massive fan of Crystelle but she has definitely upped her game recently. Will be whoever makes the least mistakes on the day.

angelopal · 17/11/2021 08:13

Did feel Jurgen should have got through instead of Guiseppe.

Totally agree. Chigs was clever though, a really simple centrepiece and concentrated on the mini cakes. Jurgen got it wrong doing it the other way round.
Kikkomam · 17/11/2021 08:16

Jurgen not getting a handshake made me sad.

Sockwomble · 17/11/2021 08:16

They should kept all 4 of them in. I think the decision of who left was a marketing decision.

StevieNicksscarf · 17/11/2021 08:17

I agree @DipItAgain - makes me wonder why they bother with the technical. To my mind it shows the most skill because it relies on your knowledge and judgement rather than having been able to practice but it seems to count for nothing.

TBH I have told myself that this is the last year that I am watching because it's become the Paul Hollywood Show and I cannot abide the man.

I also think Jurgen was just there for the baking rather than for his nan, sister blah blah blah. It's all become about the backstory and emotional crap rather than the baking.

Phew, glad to have got that off my chest as was thoroughly pissed off after last night's episode.

100% agree #justiceforjurgen 🤣

Now I want Giuseppe to win

AlleZusammen · 17/11/2021 08:20

I wish they judged it on how they'd performed throughout the series, rather than on each week's performance only. I'm really disappointed about Jurgen going out. He won star baker so many times. I won't enjoy it as much now as I think he was robbed, although the others are talented too.

pepperaunt · 17/11/2021 08:22

Team Juergen here. So sad! I knew Crystelle would have to get through as they couldn’t have an all-male final (though sick of her doing it for her Nan, sister, etc). I think Chigs has the best narrative arc.

Disfordarkchocolate · 17/11/2021 08:23

I'd be happy if anyone of them won. I was hoping for a surprise 4 finalists though.

I like Chiggs, he took a week or two to settle down and since then he's been amazing. But then Giuseppe, he does food I want to eat (apart from last night green showstopper). Crystelle is a bit more hit and miss for me but last night's showstopper truly looked beautiful and very celebratory. I hope they all do well in the final so it's really hard to judge.

Bigassbeebuzzbuzz · 17/11/2021 08:25

Personally I think lizzie should of been put through last week instead of Crystelle.
Jurgen going was a major shock, but I think it's made it easier for me to want Chigs to win.

Rizzoli123 · 17/11/2021 08:28

I love lizzie. I thought the same

Id like Cristelle loads more if it wasn't for the amateur dramatics. Team Chigs !

ItsSnowJokes · 17/11/2021 08:32

Jurgen was bloody robbed! Now I want Giuseppe to win.

I cannot stand Crystelle, she seems so fake and Paul Hollywood has favoured her from the beginning. He always picks one woman every series.

HeadNorth · 17/11/2021 08:33

Guiseppe's food sounds the most delicious. His tiramisu slices sounded yummy, I did not like the sound of Crystelle's yuzu & sesame offerings and they looked covered in fly dirt - most off putting.

I feel Juergen was robbed, I wish he was through in place of Chigs, whose apples were messy and a weird colour. So I am team Guiseppe now.

ColinTheKoala · 17/11/2021 08:34

It's always sad when a really good person goes in the semi-finals. Happened in the Pottery Throwdown a couple of years ago too - there was a lady who was excellent, seemed odds-on to win. Then they had to build a working toilet in the semi-final and hers leaked, so she didn't make the final.

I thought from the comments on the showstoppers that Juergen would go.

Oh I think I know who you mean, was it the short lady with short grey cropped hair on pottery throw down? I was absolutely fuming when she left.
crossstitchingnana · 17/11/2021 08:39

My money's on Crystelle.

Magissa · 17/11/2021 08:41

Jurgen not getting a handshake when everyone else got one was downright mean.
I have had Jurgen as the winner from the start so I am feeling quite anti bake off today. Pru is by far the best judge anyway and also seems to be a nicer person. Paul Hollywood should be gone he gets more and more up himself every week

Kikkomam · 17/11/2021 08:41

Lizzie was a really excellent baker. I agree Guiseppes food looks the most appetising. It's a bit cringe making watching Paul H fawn over Crystelle. I don't really mind who wins now Jurgen has gone Sad

I thought chiggs apples were a weird colour but I thought Guissepes looked to simplistic. At least chiggs had tried something different
