Who will win Bake off!!!

I am team chiggs all the way but feel like they will give it to crystelle. I think he has had a fantastic year and sort of deserves it more. I know that might be wrong to say.

What are your thoughts

Completely agree ....who remembers a couple of years ago when Stacey was made star baker and looked triumphant and the internet tore her apart for being a show off.

Nobody ever thinks they judge women more harshly and yet somehow they’re consistently more harshly judged.

Lizzie's cakes often looked pretty messy. There's no way she should have progressed further than she did.

I've just read that Crystelle's sisters are called Chantelle and Corelle.

I like Crystelle, she's obviously an excellent baker but I do believe her imposter syndrome. All of the bakers seem like genuinely nice people and getting along well. The most obnoxious thing about the show is Paul and his spiteful and ridiculous self importance. Like someone said on another thread - I'm surprised he doesn't make the bakers kiss his ring like the Pope.

Juergan was robbed. Robbed I say! My DH thought something terrible had happened when he heard me shouting WHAT?!? at the telly last night 😂. Giuseppe should have gone.

I like Chrystelle and I'd root for her as the only woman in the final, the problem is that the flavours she chooses aren't to my taste, so I probably wouldn't enjoy her baking? Lots of exotic fruit, Japanese flavours etc., stuff I don't really touch. Giuseppe's cakes usually sound the most appealing to me, I may have a pretty boring palate.

I don't think Chrystelle has any good options in terms of how she reacts to her own success, though. If she acted more confident and unsurprised, people would say she's a vain bitch. She's obviously very good, they all are.

SO full of himself. Cannot stand the man. Shake it up, Channel 4, ditch Paul and find someone new.

Agree re the handshake. Why does Paul's opinion have more weight than Prue's? It's a male ego thing.

Paul is a bit of a tosspot...he uses his handshake like it's a cherished accolade . He should just give his opinion , like Prue .

I’m traumatised by Jurgen going out last night! He did the best in the technical, and although they thought his showstopper lacked colour, they said the flavour was spot on. Yet Guiseppe’s showstopper lacked flavour. So why did Jurgen go out?🤔

Now Jurgen is gone I’m struggling to want any of the others to win! Definitely not Crystelle anyway, she comes across as a bit fake.

I totally agree. The more I thought about it last night and this morning the more I got annoyed. Nothing we can do as it was filmed ages ago.

I agree with what someone suggested on the extra slice a week or so ago, where no one goes home, but people are scored and the winner is the one with the highest score at the end. Or they could keep the hugest three for a final. It's sad when someone goes on week one because they aren't great at bread for example but are great at all the rest. Pastry is my nemesis.

I suspect Mary Berry was glad to get away from Paul, she doesn’t strike me as a woman who would sufffer fools gladly.

I like Pru - she always says something kind. I’d like her and Mary Berry to do Bake off and ditch the smarty git Paul!

We are team Crystelle - she’s so talented, that show stopper was amazing! And I don’t find her dramatic, frankly I cry more at bake off results than she ever does and I’m not even there

I’ll be sad when it finishes this year, it’s been so lovely. Every year I say I won’t get drawn in and here I am…

I love all of them, would be happy to see any of them win. I think Chiggs is amazing to be so talented when he's so new to baking. Giuseppe is the most consistently good so he would be a deserving winner. Crystelle is a bit more inconsistent but when she's on form she's absolutely the best of the lot.

Giuseppe will win. He’s the most consistently good out of the three, so unless he screws up badly in the final I think it’s in the bag.

I think Giuseppe, although he does sometimes wobble under pressure. I thought it would be him, Jurgen and Crystelle in the final from about week 4, did not see Chigs improving so rapidly.

DEVASTATED Jurgen went. His little face. He was consistently great all the way through. Stupid decision. Had him in the draw (but also have Chiggs who has improved the most but Jurgen deserved it more). Will Crystelle do yet more flowery samey creations?? I suppose Giuseppe now to win

Agree about Jurgen - and he looks more and more like Winnie the Pooh every week!
