Roasted with olive oil, salt and pepper for 10-15 mins on high

It’s freaking amazing and I never knew little trees could taste this good!

I do that with Asparagus, but also sprinkle garlic on too. Much nicer.

Pbbananabagel · 11/11/2021 20:39

Oooh yes to the garlic, also bacon with asparagus

Batfinkwings · 11/11/2021 20:39

The same goes for brussel sprouts!

Dee1975 · 11/11/2021 20:40

Standard or tenderstem? Sounds lovely!

ShirleyPhallus · 11/11/2021 20:41

Add chilli flakes too, it’s amazing, I do it this way then have it cold added to salads. Bloody delicious.

Dozer · 11/11/2021 20:41

My friend does similar and with a few chinese type spices

DobbyTheHouseElk · 11/11/2021 20:41

Yes….totally different taste. Ditto cauliflower

ShirleyPhallus · 11/11/2021 20:45

@Dee1975

Standard but slice the entire stalk down too, it doesn’t waste anything
LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 11/11/2021 20:46

Yes to roasted cauliflower...I was very sure that people were utterly out of their minds to roast cauliflower. I imagined it would be dry with the texture of foosty polystryrene after being in the oven, but no...it's a totally different thing to its substandard boiled incarnation. Especially if you roast it round a chicken.....utter heaven!

PinkiOcelot · 11/11/2021 20:48

Sounds lovely, but what do you mean by high?

Dinosauria · 11/11/2021 20:49

Do you soak them in salt water first....... Envy not envy

Cocomarine · 11/11/2021 20:54

It does sound sound lovely - but I’m not sure I’d be tempted away from steaming it, then mashing it with sour cream and garlic and harissa mix.
Hell, I’ll have both!

MonkeyPuddle · 11/11/2021 20:56

Roasted green beans are heaven too

PeeAche · 11/11/2021 20:56

Little trees!!! 😁

Leave them to cool and then toss them through salad leaves with sun blush tomatoes and shavings of parms. Revelation! And amazing with BBQ food.

coodawoodashooda · 11/11/2021 20:56

That sounds great!

CovidPassQuestion · 11/11/2021 20:57

But can you roast them from frozen like this?

Howshouldibehave · 11/11/2021 20:58

That sounds tasty! No boiling/steaming at all first?

LawnFever · 11/11/2021 20:59

I need to try this, roasted cauliflower with paprika, garlic powder, salt & pepper is amazing too

SpookyPumpkinPants · 11/11/2021 20:59

YOU might have been cooking it wrong. Some of us have been cooking it like this For A Very Long Time.🤣🤣

I don't run around telling everyone though or it'll be hard to get & ££££

Do it with Cauliflower... low carb, vegetarian crack!!

SpookyPumpkinPants · 11/11/2021 21:00

@PinkiOcelot

210 in my oven💁🏻‍♀️
SpookyPumpkinPants · 11/11/2021 21:01

Nope
Level75 · 11/11/2021 21:01

I won't eat it any other way. Season with a v little soy sauce when it's still hot from the oven.

DartmoorChef · 11/11/2021 21:01

Add smoked salt and garlic. Its awesome

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 11/11/2021 21:03

Yanbu, that is the only way to cook broccoli! Sometimes add almonds too, or have paprika or chilli as well.

SpookyPumpkinPants · 11/11/2021 21:03

@CovidPassQuestion

But can you roast them from frozen like this?
You can but personally I think they're too 'wet'. Fresh is much better. Save the frozen for eith a cheese sauce!!
