Argos catalogue

HandScreen · 20/10/2021 12:36

Early 2000's glamour

MrsRobbieHart · 20/10/2021 12:38

Not sure if it’s really a particular style tbh.

HazelandChacha · 20/10/2021 12:39

Not a style as such but I’d say it says single woman.

AutumnLeafy · 20/10/2021 12:40

Millennial pink?

Olivegreenstrawberries · 20/10/2021 12:41

Shabby shit

Thehop · 20/10/2021 12:42

Popular.

Rossetti47 · 20/10/2021 12:42

Uninspired.

Aquamarine1029 · 20/10/2021 12:44

That's not a style, it's just a mess.

WillowKnicks · 20/10/2021 12:45

Feminine

iamnickiminaj · 20/10/2021 12:45

@Aquamarine1029 yes I agree. I seen it on Pinterest Confused and it's god awful. Someone called it 'retro' - I think not.

Wow some of these are just mean.

OP I'm assuming its your room.

I'd say its quite traditional in style but veering towards a glamorous feeling with the damask wallpaper, the traditional rug, the, mirror, the lampshade and the pink faux fur.

If in doubt wherever you have a mix of styles call it "transitional".

AmyDudley · 20/10/2021 12:50

Student shared house.
I find pinterest hard to fathom - I mean my living room is a styleless mess - but then I don't stick it on Pinterest and cal it retro.

ErrolTheDragon · 20/10/2021 12:51

Random

Fabpinky · 20/10/2021 12:51

Chavvy

Viviennemary · 20/10/2021 12:52

Trying to be bohemian. Its ok I think. Better than that grey look.

iamnickiminaj · 20/10/2021 12:52

@cloudtree some people on AIBU aren't able to articulate themselves very well unfortunately. It's not my living room - luckily due to some responses - but I would expect a grown up to be able to put into words what they don't like about something rather than saying 'shit box' and 'shabby shit'.

Dated. A bit shabby

AmyDudley · 20/10/2021 12:54

As an aside I have a friend who calls Pinterest 'Pee- Interest' - she won't be told its not said that way. Grin

AutistAwayWithUrConditionalLuv · 20/10/2021 12:54

Can't pin point a style so I'd say it's a bit 'modern-eclectic' style.

Well I would think you'd at least tidy it up a bit first if you're going to. Like tidy away that big cable I'm middle of room or fold the blanket etc.

It comes under the glamour/romantic bracket. People have different budgets and lending abilities. They do the best they can.
It would need to have flowery wallpaper and a different mirror to be retro.

ErrolTheDragon · 20/10/2021 12:55

I'd expand my description to 'random with colours and styles which neither match nor complement each other'.

If it was a friend's room and I was being tactful then 'er, eclectic'.Grin
