I like it. Looks cozy. And very inviting to have a cat and a cuppa.

Not sure what style it's called though
:)

@AmyDudley

As an aside I have a friend who calls Pinterest 'Pee- Interest' - she won't be told its not said that way. Grin
My friend calls it Pin Interest 🤣

@WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles

"Looks like a squat" Hmm FFS have you heard yourself?!

I have no idea why people are being so fucking rude about someone's home (which looks absolutely fine to me). I agree with the PP who said it's very easy to say this kind of stuff online but would people making comments like this, actually walk into someone's house and say "your house is shit and your front room looks like a squat"?

If you would, well, you're just a rude insensitive knobhead. If you realise that this wouldn't be an acceptable thing to say in RL - then why are you saying it from behind a screen? HmmIt's so cowardly and you just look (as my DC would say) like you're a massive Edgelord. It's really not a good look (ironically).

I know, I really want to see these people’s living rooms.
bibliomania · 21/10/2021 11:14

Someone has obviously tried to make the place homely. It's not my choice but it's better than people not caring about their environment.

I agree with this. I like rooms where someone has gone "I like this and this and this!" and thrown everything into the mix. What I don't like is the kind of soulless box you see on Grand Designs (not all of them tbf) where it's acres of shiny surfaces and that's about it.

MysteriousMonkey · 21/10/2021 11:14

I think some people articulate brilliantly and simply. Still laughing at shabby shit, sums up everything I was thinking in just two words.

Anjo2011 · 21/10/2021 11:17

It looks like an on set TV advert for The Range

GoldenOmber · 21/10/2021 11:19

Suspect that would be like the “show us your bedroom!” thread from yonks ago where someone tried to pass off a photo of a hotel suite as theirs Grin

VestaTilley · 21/10/2021 11:21

What a nasty thread.

And no, my sitting room isn’t like this.

BalloonSlayer · 21/10/2021 11:23

I like it, I think it looks cosy

I didn't know those hanging plant thingies were still on the go, takes me back to my grans house.

Thecurliestwurly · 23/10/2021 10:49

Has anyone not considered that this person may have kids or just a lower budget than some of the other posters on here? We can't all throw thousands at decorating our lounge. I would love to decorate my lounge, but there is no point with two kids who are still in the messy stage. It would be a waste of money. It's clean, but there is no instagram style as such, so I don't have people over because of shit threads like this convincing me that people are secret bitches.

There are very few houses I have come across that are decorated as beautifully as you would see on Pinterest or Instagram, and those that are, have no kids in them! I doubt that half the people bitching on here have houses like that either.

ShinyMe · 23/10/2021 11:01

It looks like some Changing Rooms shite to me.
