Apart from messy? 🤣

It’s attempting a Moroccan vibe

Yes, it's brilliant. Are you the poster who is usually WeBuiltThisCityOn SausageRolls?

diddl · 20/10/2021 13:15

I was thinking cold judging by the amount of throws!

Love the wall paper, wall colour & ottoman.

Lachimolala · 20/10/2021 13:15

Vintage glam? I’m not sure, I don’t love it though. Though I can’t talk my entire house contents came from IKEA Grin

eisforemma · 20/10/2021 13:16

@ElftonWednesday

It's not someone coming into your home saying it though, it's a random person on the internet's home who will never see the comments. People will be a little more honest than if they were saying it to someone in real life.
But there's a difference between calling a house messy and calling a house shit
ElftonWednesday · 20/10/2021 13:16

Is it? Moroccan Barbie, then.

AutumnLeafy · 20/10/2021 13:16

So you've decided to share it here so people can insult it? Weird.

ElftonWednesday · 20/10/2021 13:17

But there's a difference between calling a house messy and calling a house shit

What does it matter?

AutumnLeafy · 20/10/2021 13:17

Why don't you just comment on it on Pinterest?

dworky · 20/10/2021 13:20

Bluntness100 · 20/10/2021 13:20

It’s not really a style, it’s just a relatively feminine low cost room

Shannith · 20/10/2021 13:22

Eclectic. Colourful. Warm and inviting. Vintage.

MrsRobbieHart · 20/10/2021 13:22

I don’t think it’s even particularly messy. A blanket needs folded. A cushion needs put back on the sofa and a cable needs tidied away. That’s it tbh.

Personal opinion is the furniture is laid out wrong. But that’s just personal preference.

TabithaTiger · 20/10/2021 13:24

Some people are so mean. It looks like someone on a tight budget has bought bits that suit their taste (pink, feminine, etc) to make a plain room more homely and they've posted it because they're pleased with it. It's not to my tastes, but I'm pretty sure not everyone would like my lounge.

ohfook · 20/10/2021 13:24

@AmyDudley

As an aside I have a friend who calls Pinterest 'Pee- Interest' - she won't be told its not said that way. Grin
I know someone who calls in Pininterest!
Oswina · 20/10/2021 13:26

I don't know what I'd call it but I think it works.

Pink and grey do go together. The pillow on the right has a really/green colour on it which offsets pink really well imo. Apparently the sofa is really dates according a pp but that's not something I would notice. I also don't notice a sofa cover that doesn't fit - I do notice a pink blanket folded up to cover the seats, which wouldn't bother me.

The side table isn't quite the right shade of pink and I would choose a different light.

It's a lot better than many houses people live in.

It's also much better than those modern houses where everything is just neutral and looks straight out of a showroom. Those sleek grey and white bathrooms or whatever with no personality are so lacking in... Anything really.

Christmas1988 · 20/10/2021 13:26

A mess

TuftyMarmoset · 20/10/2021 13:27

Boudoir inspired? Or more unkindly B&M chic.

I keep thinking the mirror is falling down rather than being deliberately oriented that way 🤦‍♀️

MrsRobbieHart · 20/10/2021 13:29

I’m loving the comment about the sofa being dated. Err, yeah- most people don’t update their sofa with every new trend. They’re a big investment and are supposed to last years!

What's wrong with b and m? Some people have a tight budget. Aren't you aware of that ?
Knittedfairies · 20/10/2021 13:30

I'm wondering whether the owner's car has eyelashes.

Thecurliestwurly · 20/10/2021 13:32

I don't really give a shit about other people's homes - unless I see a picture of a baby crawling on a floor of a crack den covered in needles and empty takeaway boxes. I might have a reason to judge then.

The room is fine. No shit smears or "dance in the rain" or "live, laugh, love" quotes on the walls. It's just not your taste, so just scroll on. Pink isn't mine either. Maybe it belongs to Linda off EastEnders?

Show us your best room OP and let's see what we think of it.

romany4 · 20/10/2021 13:33

I was going to say 1980s. It looks my lounge growing up

Oswina · 20/10/2021 13:34

Exactly this! Sofas are expensive for most people. People I know tend to have theirs for at least 5/6 years, some 8-10, some have had theirs seemingly forever! Depends on the wear and tear. I am looking for new sofas but only because DP's dog completely chewed one of the sofas to pieces when he was a puppy, and I've put up with that for too long Grin

MrsRobbieHart · 20/10/2021 13:34

Nope- no flamingoes Grin
