Just dishing up dinner before I head out to work, just an easy fish fingers, chips and veg and suddenly thought 'how many fish fingers do I give an 11 year old? I wasn't sure whether 2 was enough or 3 too much, they do eat quite a lot.

How many would you give an 11 year old?

3 or 4. Two isn't enough.

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 05/10/2021 17:35

3 or 4 they've shrunk over the years

Randomuser9876 · 05/10/2021 17:35

3 maybe 4

XiCi · 05/10/2021 17:36

Definitely 3 or 4 for an 11 year old

Our DTS13 and DD15 were assigned the role of making fish finger sandwiches at the weekend. I left it to them to decide how many pieces of bread/how many fingers.

DP intervened when he heard they were dishing up 8 fingers each. (I thought it sounded fine Blush)

Campervan69 · 05/10/2021 17:37

Mine had 8 last night with baked beans 😋

Macncheeseballs · 05/10/2021 17:37

4

Couldhavebeenme3 · 05/10/2021 17:37

Depends. Fish fingers are my comfort food, I've been known to eat a whole pack on my own. For a hungry 11 year old I'd serve 4, lighten up on the chips if you're worried about empty carbs.

Mmmmm fish fingers....

Campervan69 · 05/10/2021 17:37

No chips though

My 12 year old doesn't like fish fingers (weirdo) but quantity wise hed eat at least 6.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 05/10/2021 17:37

4 or 5.

ditalini · 05/10/2021 17:37

My 8 year old has 3, my 13 year old has 4, sometimes 5.

I'd give an 11 year old 4 - they're not very big.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 05/10/2021 17:38

Mc Donald's give 3 in a happy meal and children outgrow them at about age 7. So 4.

RealBecca · 05/10/2021 17:38

With chips and veg, 2.

iloveredwine · 05/10/2021 17:38

My 12 year old has 5 with beans

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 05/10/2021 17:38

3 or 4 probably.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 05/10/2021 17:38

4 normally here (8&10, although 8yo doesn't like chips so just has the veg)

FreezerBird · 05/10/2021 17:38

DS16 had two fish finger sandwiches for lunch, with four in each. Sounds fine to me. (They are definitely smaller then they used to be. Four fit in a sandwich perfectly now, but I'm sure I used to put only three in).
GoingBackTo505 · 05/10/2021 17:39

My 2.5yo has two so I'd say 3 or 4 depending how hungry.

MummyDummyNow · 05/10/2021 17:39

My 8 year old has 4, sometimes 5 and 4 year old has 3 or 4. Surely an 11 year old needs even more?

modgepodge · 05/10/2021 17:41

My petite 2 year old eats 2!
