Just dishing up dinner before I head out to work, just an easy fish fingers, chips and veg and suddenly thought 'how many fish fingers do I give an 11 year old? I wasn't sure whether 2 was enough or 3 too much, they do eat quite a lot.

How many would you give an 11 year old?

Three with chips, 4 for a sandwich.

icedcoffees · 05/10/2021 17:42

Three or four. They're tiny.

sayanythingelse · 05/10/2021 17:46

I'd say 4. My 3 year olds favourite meal is 3 fish fingers, broccoli and mint sauce. She's weird.

WeepySheepy · 05/10/2021 17:47

4

RubyGoat · 05/10/2021 17:47
  1. Arranged in the shape of a hand. Otherwise why are they called fish fingers...
MrsMiddleMother · 05/10/2021 17:48

I went with 3, would you really go with 4+ even with the chips and veg? I'd give more if it was in a sandwich or without chips

My 11 year old would have 4 fish fingers and my 6 year old would have 3. Any less and they would be starving!

MintyGreenDream · 05/10/2021 17:48

4 I'd have 6 Blush

indecisivewoman81 · 05/10/2021 17:48

My 11 year old has five fish fingers!

CtrlU · 05/10/2021 17:50

5

DynastyBarry · 05/10/2021 17:50

4 or 5

My older teenagers eat 8

Toiletrollbuyer · 05/10/2021 17:50

Depends. For the frozen ones my 12 year old would eat 4 easily with chips and veg and would probably ask for more. If we’re talking the posh fresh ones from marks and Spencer’s then 2.

RobinPenguins · 05/10/2021 17:52

Probably 4 unless they’re the chunky ones.

LowlandLucky · 05/10/2021 17:53

My son's would have eaten a pack of 10 each if they could, with chips, beans and bread.

purplesequins · 05/10/2021 17:56

4

my teens would have a pack each if we let them Shock

22Giraffes · 05/10/2021 17:59

4, they're really small now!

georgarina · 05/10/2021 18:01

The thin ones, maybe 4 or 5. The chunky ones probably 2.

ThePotatoCroquette · 05/10/2021 18:01

3 or 4

FrankieDobie · 05/10/2021 18:02

At least 3. More likely 4 though. My 1 year old granddaughter eats 2!!

DementedPanda · 05/10/2021 18:02

I could just eat fish fingers chips and beans for tea. Shame my oven is broken Sad

DeepaBeesKit · 05/10/2021 18:05

This depends massively on the size and quality of the finger.

Birds eye frozen = probably 4 for an 11 year old. Sainsbury's chunky ones in the fresh section, 2-3.

Some very cheap brands are absolutely tiny.

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 05/10/2021 18:06

3 per child (9 & 11)

SylvanasWindrunner · 05/10/2021 18:06

My 2.5yo has three! But just with veg, no chips.

AndOtherStories · 05/10/2021 18:07

Oh. I was going to say 4! I suppose it depends what your having with them.
