How many fish fingers?

Just dishing up dinner before I head out to work, just an easy fish fingers, chips and veg and suddenly thought 'how many fish fingers do I give an 11 year old? I wasn't sure whether 2 was enough or 3 too much, they do eat quite a lot.

How many would you give an 11 year old?

At least 3, if not 4. My 2 year old eats two.

I would've gone with 3 but why didn't you ask them how many they wanted?

My 5-year-old has 5 fish fingers with a thick layer of cheese on top!

My DS 11 would have easily eaten 5-6

But DD 11 would have only managed 2-3

DS11 has 5 normally, 6 if he’s hungry, no chips though.

I could eat 10 ..... or more

My 9 and 6 year olds have 5 each with chips, peas and beans.

My 7 year old has 4 and she's a tiny scrappy little thing .

In our house 1 between 2 adults and 2 teens, with plenty left over for meals through the week

If I make my own, they're really chunky. Big fish to crumb ratio. I give my kids 3.

If it's out of a box then they get 5.

They have them with beans and broccoli/corn on cob.

Every day's a school day. Who knew there was an upper age limit on fish fingers. Mumsnetter mums. Still strapped into a car seat but too old for fish fingers unless encased in bread. I swear you people make up these crackers rules

Quite. They're in high school FFS. Surely they're capable of knowing how many fish fingers they feel like for tea 😅

There is no upper age limit on fish fingers, they are the ultimate convenience food.
