Having had many years of professional and personal dealings with the police I am completely unsurprised.

And every single one of them who turned a blind eye or protected abusive colleagues is complicit.

I don't think anyone is that surprised, are they? The Met is now looking for people to get rid of to say that they dealt with the misogyny problem, and that its a very small number, honest.

@YerAWizardHarry sounds like your son is now suffering because of institutionalised misogyny. And I repeat the earlier posters question, what is your partner doing about it? What are his colleagues and superiors doing?

I have had trouble from police myself, haven't reported incidents due to the (un)likelihood of help. But cool heads are sometimes called for.

It is obscene - the news this week has been horrendous enough but the fucking snivelling cowardice in ‘oh but now people don’t like us boo hoo’ has really, really sickened me. They should be fucking rioting, demanding change.

More women will die because of this attitude, I’m absolutely outraged by it.
