How come he still has that job? And, no, the 'I have old fashioned northern Irish charm' act doesn't make up for it. I for one am certainly not feeling charmed! I have no idea how Ruth puts up with him tbh.

As for the "Why didn't you get a taxi?" to the rape victim who walked two streets (although it would have been just as offensive if she'd walked the length of London hammered drunk) words fail me. I actually do. He is very dry and I love his humour. He is a refreshing change to the sycophantic presenters.

I was just telling someone earlier this week how much I dislike him as a presenter and now I really loathe him.

Makes snidey snarky mean comments, revels in the grumpy old bugger persona, argumentative & always right, laughs at his own unfunny jokes. Total dinosaur. And he can't even do a proper apology.

ITV need to sack him, he's just an embarrassment.

Let's not forget too the time he called Johnathan Wilkes the r-word (you know the one) live on air and the next day issued an "I'm sorry if" apology.
