He's always been a chubby misogynist with questionable.comments to make about his wife but now he has compared a woman's afro hair to the fur on an alpaca. Has the world gone completely bloody mad? How come he still has that job? And, no, the 'I have old fashioned northern Irish charm' act doesn't make up for it. I for one am certainly not feeling charmed! I have no idea how Ruth puts up with him tbh.

Yes it is graceful. Acknowledging he of course shouldn't have said it but doing so without condemning or attacking him.

I think he tires to be dry and self deprecating, not sure This Morning is the right platform tbh. ITV seem to want the Pip Schofield/Lorraine shiny smiley presenters. Think Eamonn has had his day, bet Ruth's hissing ffs at him as we speak.

As an aside I wonder why Ryland isn't on anymore didn't he used to do a presenting stint on there?

Don't get me started on Lorraine. She must know stuff, because how else has she held on to that show of hers otherwise?

Do you remember when she and Aled Jones got to actually present GMB (or whatever it was then)and when that didn't work, Aled got booted into oblivion and LK just carried on with her tack on at the end show as if nothing had happened. Bizarre.

I honestly have nothing against the woman, but having watched guest presenters from time to time and thought.. wow they are soooo much better, I stopped a few years ago. There is something odd about the Lorraine fest.
Lisa Snowden is great. She's done a couple of spots years ago and I really rated her

Besides, Meghan used to identify as white on her cv and she also says she is mixed race. She's never called herself black and she isn't. She's just as white as she is black. She's biracial.

He epitomises a certain type of older Irish male, many of which I'm unfortunately acquainted with. They think they're above "all that nonsense" of respecting women/minorities/anyone but the carbon copies of themselves. The type to proclaim "the world's gone pc mad"
