Locked parking thread 2

Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

Car not cat obviously!

Any fool trying to make a cat go where it doesn't want to is clearly going to regret it.

Glad you came back OP. What a rude CF to not even have the balls to call you and apologise!

Twoforthree · 01/08/2021 07:41

Really weird, he just abandoned it. I bet it’s someone else who picks it up.

stonebrambleboy · 01/08/2021 07:42

Glad to hear from you OP.
What an idiot he is, I bet he'll send his DS to collect the car.

ApolloandDaphne · 01/08/2021 07:42

So he basically just abandoned it without even coming to your door to ask for the gate to be opened? He has some nerve.

BruceAndNosh · 01/08/2021 07:43

So you made contact indirectly with the owner but they got their sister to message you?
The Cheekyfuckerness runs deep with this one!

Dollywilde · 01/08/2021 07:44

Thanks OP, sorry your last thread took a turn.

Love that he’s still not actually got in touch with you himself. What a twat.

PyjamaFan · 01/08/2021 07:45

So his sister responded and still.no apology?

What a total aresehole.

BruceAndNosh · 01/08/2021 07:45

I'd refuse to unlock the gate for anyone other than the original driver of the car, after a personal apology

KarlUrbansWife · 01/08/2021 07:48

So sorry you were freaked out by some of the messages, OP, there was definitely a poster out to make a point. Hope you slept OK.
I hope whoever comes to collect the car does so with their tail between their legs and an apology.
How was your carvery?Grin

FelicityPike · 01/08/2021 07:50

He’s too embarrassed to face you. Lol.

Lanique · 01/08/2021 07:51

What a yellow bellied coward. Grin

PyjamaFan · 01/08/2021 07:54

I agree, he's embarrassed and probably never apologises to anyone.

How much of a coward is he that he still hasn't been able to make direct contact and is now getting his sister to liase for him?! You were much more restrained in your social media posting than I would have been though, OP - I would have been making the trespassing situation very clear. Did you tell the CFs DSis exactly what happened yesterday? If one of my brothers had been such a CF I would be giving him a proper bollocking and apologising profusely to you for him as I would hate for his behaviour to be a reflection on the rest of the family.

When he comes he is still going to have to knock on your door for you to open the gate/move the truck so I (and I'm sure everyone else) will be interested to see what he has to say for himself when he turns up on your doorstep this lunchtime.

RickJames · 01/08/2021 07:57

What a strange person! Abandons his car and gets his sister to sort out getting it back.

Soubriquet · 01/08/2021 07:58

Has anyone got a link to the first thread please

Sounds like a nightmare though OP. Sorry

MontysMinions · 01/08/2021 07:58

Sorry that weird poster freaked you out last night OP.

I agree with others, you've been very restrained and I can't believe he's still not contacted you directly.

Hope he is suitably embarrassed and apologetic on collection.

wineandcheeseplease · 01/08/2021 07:58

Wow! I can't belive he just left it

ithoughtisawapuddycat · 01/08/2021 07:58

I'd be telling them that it needs to be the registered owner and they need to bring proof of ownership and ID!

Hugoslavia · 01/08/2021 07:59

What an absolute wimp getting someone else to deal with it.

melj1213 · 01/08/2021 07:59

@Soubriquet

Has anyone got a link to the first thread please

Sounds like a nightmare though OP. Sorry

NeedNewKnees · 01/08/2021 08:00

What a pathetic coward!

Howdidigetsoold · 01/08/2021 08:01

That is so annoying that he is allowed to park his car on your private land for as long as he wants and you aren’t allowed to do anything to it I case it gets damaged!

FeatheredHope · 01/08/2021 08:01

What a strange cheeky fucker and sorry about weirdos on here. Thanks for the update.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 01/08/2021 08:02

I'm so glad you came back, intrigued to know the CF drivers story. I mean, who does that??!! He's probably mortified and too embarrassed to pick it up himself.
