The vile Dawn Foster tweets ffs. But he seems Teflon coated. He will never be cancelled. Three fucking columns a week … a pissing radio show, albeit on Times Radio, which surely no one listens to. I would love to be proved wrong. Absolutely love to be.

It amazes me how people fail to mentally adapt when their personal situation changes. They can believe they are disenfranchised while living in a mansion.

I don't think he's talented at all @RaquelOak. I thought he was mediocre and would mostly skip over his witterings. Given his background, education and years of experience in "journalism"🙄 his writing remains infantile and shite. And he knows it.

I don’t really understand the point you’re making - that people who live in Belsize Park have no business feeling sympathy for the disenfranchised working classes, or admiring a crusading, fearless journalist like Dawn Foster. Before this closes, I want to say thank you @mowly77. This thread has made me think. It has opened my eyes to the hostility faced by working class, female journalists in our print media. It has made me check in with my moral compass, and my feminist one and adjust my behaviour accordingly.

I will no longer buy the Times (I haven't read the Guardian in years or I'd stop that too). I am missing it, but cannot support a system so toxic to women! A system wherein principled, passionate WC women's voices are discarded and feminist, MC journalists remain silent because nothing is more important than the bruised egos of the middle aged, middle class, mediocre but well connected men around them.

It has also made me more aware of the silencing techniques used to shut us up, even on Mnet. The accusations and insinuations leveled towards the women here has been something else.🤯 Grown women, possible feminists(?), making themselves look ridiculous to defend a scumbag who is guilty of everything they've accused posters here of. And worse! All this, despite the fact the readership of this thread is probably only double figures/low hundreds at most at this stage, yet his hate reaches millions.

Isn’t it a good thing that people are aware of their privilege/sensitive to the fact that not everyone is as privileged? All I know is that amy neighbours enjoyed drinking together but separately in our gardens and trying to support each other during lock down, and that no one was trying to sneer at or shame anyone. There are quite a few housing association residents on my street as well as posh/middle class/rich/nouveau riche people. You seem to inhabit a very tedious space if you are worried about the ‘watch your privilege mob’ whoever they are.
