The vile Dawn Foster tweets ffs. But he seems Teflon coated. He will never be cancelled. Three fucking columns a week … a pissing radio show, albeit on Times Radio, which surely no one listens to. I would love to be proved wrong. Absolutely love to be.

I did hear today that Esther Walker/Coren had liked her husband's gross tweet about Dawn Foster. I found that wick because I always thought her the more intelligent of the pair.

That’s completely horrendous that she liked his Tweet! I used to like Esther’s blog but she is obviously just as much of an arsehole as her husband. In fact she’s worse as she enables him. The Rose West to Giles’s Fred (hyperbole obvs)

I wonder what she will do now that Giles has revealed himself as Britain’s biggest absolute bastard. She is basically a professional Mrs Giles Coren, but how much demand will their be for either of them after this. Maybe they’ll just carry on regardless…

Given GC’s history of using sock puppets, I can only assume he is among us. Hi GC! Have you tried therapy? I honestly believe it would help you if you could learn to admit your emotions. It’s ok, a lot of people feel like that. You don’t have to deal with it this way.

I find these comments deeply offensive. I don't think it is any better than telling a black woman that she is angry because she is black, or thinking a fat woman has to be funny because she is fat.
People have their personalities because that is their personality. It is stigmatising to associate it with a physical characteristic. How would you like it if every time you got angry people dismissed that as being because you were black/ short/ a dried up crone?

I never said it did. And I have only glimpsed at bits of this thread. But I have seen people make statements/ assumptions which are not true. it shouldn't affront anyone to have untrue assumptions/ statements called out.

Yes, I said further up this thread that such comments are offensive. I wish MN would come down on them as quickly as they come down on threads "that they have concerns about and are looking at behind the scenes". Heightism is NOT acceptable.

It'd take more than an extra session or two to deal with what's going on in those tweets. I agree it might be time to seek a new therapist, for everyone's sake.

I remember the days when therapists made thousands from counselling people about their stomach ulcers 'stress, you know, you must learn to relax. You've only been attending here for 6 months, you'll need many more sessions to make a difference.' Wrong, caused by an infection, effective medicine invented, ulcers consigned to history, loss of huge income stream. And impotence. 'Psychological, stress, you must learn to relax . . . You will need lots more sessions.' Someone invented Viagra. Another therapy income stream down the drain. My point being that therapy can be a bit hit and miss. If someone's in long term therapy and not improving then it's definitely time to replace your therapist and seek a better solution. They're not magicians.

Giles Coren is not the victim here and I am at the number of posts defending him and deflecting on this thread.

Dawn Foster's friends and family are the victims of his poisonous mind, fragile ego and untouchability. Turns out they're not the only ones. Other victims have been Jewish and Polish people. Fat people. The way he writes about his children is gross. He thinks its justified to falsely accuse people of paedophilia. And that his awful revenge rape threat fantasies are funny.

He is a nasty fucker but he is feted and protected. A mediocre, middle aged man in media who falls under the category If I've heard from your da, I dont need to hear from you.

Dawn Foster was a talented, actual journalist who got jobs on her own merit.❤
