The vile Dawn Foster tweets ffs. But he seems Teflon coated. He will never be cancelled. Three fucking columns a week … a pissing radio show, albeit on Times Radio, which surely no one listens to. I would love to be proved wrong. Absolutely love to be.

Seems strange thing to tweet to me. Did they have some long running dispute? Had the person that died been trolling him and his family? It all seems so unnecessary imo and is why Twitter is such a toxic website and best avoided. It’s turning many journalists, experts, celebrities and scientists into not very nice people generally. I do normally enjoy Giles coren’s columns and I like his radio show.

I’m a bit of a fan generally but I think she benefits from a bit of a Stephen Fry effect: she’s had a good (expensive) education and asks the questions so the assumption is she’s some kind of genius.

@sashagabadon No, she tweeted something a few years ago saying something along the lines of 'I'd rather hear it from your dad, unless you're Jesus', pointing out that Giles only has his career because of who his father was. She definitely didn't troll him. For him to tweet TWICE that he was happy she was dead just shows how utterly repugnant he is. And deleting those tweets shows even he knows he's massively overstepped the mark again. Just like he did with Michael White, his neighbour's son, that really creepy article about going on holiday with his daughter (sexiest holiday ever), his rant at sub-editors, etc.

He's a horrible, vindictive, talentless bastard. Deep down, he knows he is, and his tantrums reflect that.

Giles Corey's father was an amusing and influential columnist with a long reach in the media world. Thus we are in receipt of Victoria, who seems OK, and the lovely Giles. Who should have been stood in the corner more often when a child. Talentless, arrogant, spoilt and over-indulged.

Their Dad, Alan Coren was a comic genius up there with P G Wodehouse and Evelyn Waugh. Victoria Coren is almost as goo as her old man, but GC is trailing on their coat-tails.

Cancel culture (which I despise) isn’t really about people like him.

He’s too old and too establishment to be ‘cancelled’ by SM loons. I doubt he’s even on their radar.
