Did anyone else's school used to play this song at their school disco? I was 9 when this came out and remember dancing it to with everyone else, complete with hip thrusting actions Confused Hmm

I randomly remembered this and mentioned it to a friend yesterday (same age, different school) who was shocked and questioned what kind of effed-up school I went to. Did I!? Or was this an often played song at yours too!?

Yes, unfortunately!

MyDcAreMarvel · 02/07/2021 22:59

Yes , just a normal disco song, no more dodgy than little mix shout out to my ex.

Maggiesfarm · 02/07/2021 22:59

I was not a kid in the '90s but I vaguely remember that song, and songs like it. Very good for dancing - even for exercising.

When I think of sex on the beach (which I generally don't :-)), I imagine sand being a problem.

Unihorn · 02/07/2021 23:00

Yes this was a standard school disco song wasn't it!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 02/07/2021 23:02

Yes school disco, butlins, everywhere :p

randomsabreuse · 02/07/2021 23:02

That took me back to my 90s youth. Can't remember school discos but was definitely a popular song - actually I wasn't cool enough to go to school discos or the 16-18 club nights but I definitely know the song from somewhere!

Ellabellaboo2020 · 02/07/2021 23:03

Yep all the cheesy songs was the same when spice girls 2become1 came out, I remember singing it and having no I idea what I was singing about. When I was quite a bit older, we were watching a home video and I was singing it and the penny finally dropped ha ha 😂

InTheNightWeWillWish · 02/07/2021 23:03

I don’t remember my school having a disco, so… no?

However, I do remember the song and used to sing it. Along with Spice Girls ‘Wannabe’ or ‘Two become One’ or the Bloodhound Gang ‘Bad Touch’ and I remember my mum having kittens about all of them but I couldn’t work out why Grin So I obviously had access to the songs somehow and it wasn’t through my mum.

Hellocatshome · 02/07/2021 23:04

Yes we definitely had this one at our school discos

Fudgeytastic · 02/07/2021 23:04

I remember being at a primary school disco and the DJ playing Let's Talk About Sex by Salt n Pepper Confused

BuffySummersReportingforSanity · 02/07/2021 23:05

Got played at my church youth club discos all the time Grin

Tbh, apart from containing the word "sex" I don't recall it being any more risqué than any pop song.

Buttons294749 · 02/07/2021 23:06

Yup! School disco classic tight there!
They played it at my all girls school y8 disco 😂😂😂

Buttons294749 · 02/07/2021 23:06

*right

Darn autocorrect

plodalong12 · 02/07/2021 23:07

@Unihorn

Yes this was a standard school disco song wasn't it!
That's what I thought but my friend was so adamant that no, of COURSE her school didn't play such an inappropriate song at her school discos that I thought I'd ask!
