Did anyone else's school used to play this song at their school disco? I was 9 when this came out and remember dancing it to with everyone else, complete with hip thrusting actions

I randomly remembered this and mentioned it to a friend yesterday (same age, different school) who was shocked and questioned what kind of effed-up school I went to. Did I!? Or was this an often played song at yours too!?

Yes, heard at many school discos, and at my kids primary school discos much more recently the DJ loved to play Sex On Fire by Kings of Leon, which raised a few eyebrows!

Yes I remember it being played at a school disco when my daughter was in infant school. I complained to the DJ and his reply was "the kids ask for it so what can I do!" So I wrote to the head the next day who rang me straight away and apologised and said that she personally would make sure that that DJ would not be playing at the school again.

I remember one of the senior pupils was DJing for our school disco and put on The Outhere brothers Don’t Stop. It was NOT the version that was played on Top of The Pops and I swear I’ve never seen a teacher move as fast as he did when he heard the line ‘put your ass on my face’ blasting out across the hall

Haha I sang that to my mum once and she was not impressed! I remember asking her “what is horny?” And receiving the classic response “you’ll find out when you’re older.” This has just brought that memory back so vividly!
