To feel quite pissed off about the lack of summer so far

Where I live it's due to rain again all next week. Not expecting it to be scorching but even a break from all the rain would be nice, with it being July tomorrow. It feels like the summer is going to pass us by without it ever really happening.

I’m sick to death of it. I don’t expect scorching all summer long but it was so bloody cold last week or the week before we had to sneak the fan heaters on in the office. Then I got home and DP (would wear shorts in the Arctic) had had the heating on!! It’s bloody ridiculous.

I’m in Northern Ireland and we have had a lovely couple of weeks. I had to get that in there as not often we can be smug about the weather….

It's been gorgeous here all week, but that will be us for the rest of the summer more than likely and normal weather will resume.

Actually it was fairly sunny down here today but it's only 17 degrees on average and there are a few wet days on the horizon. I hate moaning about the weather but it's so far removed from what we had last year.

Yep. It took ages to get started, May was horrendous. Then we had about a week of scorching weather and then... it just disappeared.

I really feel down about it, actually. Even Goths need to see the sun occasionally!

I'm on annual leave this week. Should have been in Greece but am stuck in cold and wet UK. Exactly the same happened to me last year on my one week off in 2020. I am really pissed off.

It's almost always raining though. I've had to have the heating on as well, and lights during the daytime sometimes as it's also quite dark.

Feel sorry for those already holidaying in the UK especially camping.

In Scotland we are actually having summer this year - had no idea it wasn't happening in England.

It’s been hot and sunny for days in Scotland, I can’t wait for a bit of rain to break it up a bit! Was visiting family a week ago in the midlands and it was lovely then, too.

It must be rubbish though if you’re keen on consistent warmer weather. There are usually enough sunny days to get me through, I like the variety.
