Ok, so I am an expert re politics but I don't know why everyone is hating Boris. No one has had to deal with the issues he has re Brexit / Global pandemic and he has pretty much pulled both out of the bag. Look at us compared to Europe. How many lives have been lost due to their childish sniping. He has also had Covid. i am just baffled why everyone is hating on him, please explain???? So am I being unreasonable liking boris as an actual human being that makes mistakes but get shit done?

Yep, he certainly pulled it out of the bag with the pandemic: 128000 deaths.
It certainly is baffling why everyone is hating on him....

Waxonwaxoff0 · 07/05/2021 23:02

I'll bite.

We have one of the highest Covid death rates in the world. Brexit is going to shit already. He tells outright lies. So why do you think he has done a good job?

The vaccine rollout is a success. That's about it. Doesn't take away from all the other failures.

PenCreed · 07/05/2021 23:02

He's an arrogant wanker who couldn't be arsed going to the early COBRA meetings and who is openly corrupt. He's a sexist sleaze bag.

I am not a Tory voter, but there are Tory politicians I respect. He is not one of them.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr · 07/05/2021 23:02

How has Etonian Toff Alexander Boris dePfeffel Johnson “pulled Brexit out of the bag” - it’s a disaster

hamstersarse · 07/05/2021 23:03

I have met Boris a few times.

He's a decent guy. Flirty. A bit bonkers. But I like a bit of non-robotic life about the place

ShanghaiDiva · 07/05/2021 23:03

Suggest you also put a ‘not’ in your first sentence.

Irishterrier · 07/05/2021 23:03

I like him too

Rillington · 07/05/2021 23:03

He's a buffoon. What women see in him is baffling.

I think we need to be sure that all countries report their deaths using the same criteria before making comparisons and statements like the one above.

wonderstuff · 07/05/2021 23:08

You're aware that the death rate here has been higher than most other European countries right? In fact higher than most of the world, hardly pulling it out the bag.

As for Brexit he's been reckless.

He's a confirmed liar which just isn't appropriate for such a serious job. He's surrounded by sycophants and he doesn't even know how many children he has.

But I fear your far from alone.

When you compare excess deaths we don't come out any better.
Waxonwaxoff0 · 07/05/2021 23:11

A plank of wood has more charisma than him.

A liar, a cheat, a bully, a creep, a double-crossing, back-stabbing, cowardly turd. Of course mumsnetters love him.

He has all the charisma of a sweaty gym shoe.

As I said you really do need to look at a number of factors including population density, level of testing etc. It is quite difficult to make comparisons.

NiceGerbil · 07/05/2021 23:13

He's a lying twat and only out for himself.

Port1aCastis · 07/05/2021 23:13

Someone very very close to me died from covid and then I'm told Bozo said let the bodies pile high, disgusting repulsive dire and foul creature I want to see him squirm with shame for that.

This... and also all the contracts awarded to friends worth billions of pounds?
NiceGerbil · 07/05/2021 23:16

Remember the Boris bus?

He enjoyed the grandstanding but didn't for a minute think the vote would be leave. The next day he looked shocked, pale and panicked.

And he's made loads of racist remarks.

And it's a mistake to buy the buffoon act. Same as jrm with his Beano character stuff. They are selfish, enormously entitled, dangerous men.

UrAWizHarry · 07/05/2021 23:18

He's a fucking idiot who inaction killed thousands and has personally funnelled billions to his mates

But sure, his hair is floppy so thats OK.

It's profoundly depressing how our low expectations have come.

Hawkins001 · 07/05/2021 23:18

The bottom line for me, is boris is one person, it's easy to lay the blame at his feet for everything, if Boris suddenly came on tv and said we are doing x,y,z, no debate it's just happening, then what would you all say about Boris ? I'll admit I hardly know anything about Boris and I don't have personal interactions with him,.so either way I don't know how his personality is, but people.can say he should of done this or should of done that , he has to manage and debate and take care of a vast array of different groups that also have different agendas, how many of you here on mum's net, have heard your bosses say we want to achieve x, but then you also know of a few workers that will try there best not to help management, and then imagine a similar situation except it's with various companies and the government.

dangerrabbit · 07/05/2021 23:19

I strongly disagree with you, but clearly many people agree with you, or they wouldn't be doing so well at the polls.

Having the media in their pocket mustn't harm, either
