Ok, so I am an expert re politics but I don't know why everyone is hating Boris. No one has had to deal with the issues he has re Brexit / Global pandemic and he has pretty much pulled both out of the bag. Look at us compared to Europe. How many lives have been lost due to their childish sniping. He has also had Covid. i am just baffled why everyone is hating on him, please explain???? So am I being unreasonable liking boris as an actual human being that makes mistakes but get shit done?

@DiseasesOfTheSheep

I understand what your perspectives are, however when researching its better to be able to research as best as possible to confirm how likely the different aspects are true or not, otherwise if you just take x word for it, then your partly creating faulty intelligence because of just assuming that what x said is true

I mean, I'm not sure who you think you are to be lecturing me on research Grin There's no aspect of "taking someone's word for it" in any of the posts I've written, so I don't think you do understand my perspective, as you put it.

Keep replying maybe their batteries will wear out HmmGrin.
Tillygetsit · 08/05/2021 00:49

He's a cunning conman who has let people die whilst handing his incompetent mates millions. He is a lying disgusting scumbag.
Watch him resign when Brexit backlash gets too much.
I wouldn't buy a used car from that tosser.

But I can see you think you have rumbled “ me” or us. Report to mumsnet - sock puppeting isn’t allowed.

Do come back and say you were wrong though.

@Creamcrackersandricecakes
I'd definitely vote for Dilyn.

@TruelyWonder. That's a very cute looking Boris.

Hawkins001 · 08/05/2021 00:53

My main points , I'll admit i may not explain in the best way, but if we expect half truths and misinformation from any points of view, then to gain knowledge and understanding as best as possible is to research as much as possible the issues that are being discussed.

Absolutely. If I got it wrong then I genuinely apologise. Knowing when to apologise is important. I wish more people knew how to do so...

colouringindoors · 08/05/2021 01:00

Boris the "spaffing money up the wall" on historic child sex abuse? The Boris who cheated on his wife while she was going through chemo? Boris who's incompetence undoubtably ensured Nazanin was charged and imprisoned in Iraq? Boris "let the bodies pile high"? Boris who won't pay for Grenfell cladding to be taken off the homes of tens of thousands of people? Boris who took 2 months to get his act together when Covid first struck? That Boris?

You are seriously deluded.

Justanotherlurker · 08/05/2021 01:05

Every time someone praises Boris on Facebook for his handling of covid I post this.

You should keep your inteligence level to facebook then, you are part of the reason why labour lost Hartlepool,

It would be funny if you wasn't so serious

ElephantsNest · 08/05/2021 01:08

He’s disgusting.

travellinglighter · 08/05/2021 01:11

The reason they are all headlines Hawkins is because they are true. What possible context could you provide that would make him look good?. Given he lies like a carpet, is prone to make stuff up on the spot and reacts badly under pressure then the headlines tell the story. Lazy, dishonest money grabbing toss pot.

AlwaysLatte · 08/05/2021 01:11

The first reply had it.

Justanotherlurker · 08/05/2021 01:12

No, don't you understand if you spam those headlines (openly admitted to facebook) and not look at nuance it means those who don't agree are easily led by the media.

It's a perfect trifector of believing others are easily led by click bait media and in response unironically post bullet point headlines from the alternative click bait media, and somehow think you have won the argument.

There is no shades of grey or nuance in debate anymore, and it this rigid stance isn't coming from the right wing, the bus is still being used unironically on this thread.

Hi lurker in English you should say

“It would be funny if you WEREN’T so serious.”

Just saying.

Hawkins001 · 08/05/2021 01:16

It seems when the devil is in the details, it seems some people just base their views on a headline rather than reading the full context and details of the story, which then could provide them with a different perspective,.rather than an o,m,g headline ect

Justanotherlurker · 08/05/2021 01:17

The reason they are all headlines Hawkins is because they are true.

Peak mumsnet as to being out of touch politically, I bet you unironically call the fall of Hartlepool as easily led by the daily mail and uneducated.

The OP has brought a lot of you out, it would be comical if I was a die hard con voter, as it is I just think you are not as critical thinking as you make out, and your no doubt russle degree hasn't actually served you that well.

Snowjive2 · 08/05/2021 01:19

@ViciousJackdaw

I think Johnson is a complete cunt.
This
MrsBirkett · 08/05/2021 01:23

I don’t have a russle degree( or even a Russell group degree) but I do have a voracious appetite for news, information and a job where critical thinking is important. I’m not a natural labour voter and have in the dim distant past voted Tory.

I don’t know the reason for Hartlepool but if I were to speculate then I’d say the loss is a combination of poor behaviour from the previous Labour MP and the fact that Hartlepool was 70% pro Brexit.

Hartlepool doesn’t change the fact that Boris has lied, bluffed and performed poorly when it comes to covid. Other than the vaccination program(run by the NHS by the way) name one positive thing he did during the pandemic.

I have read the headlines, the text and understand the context. What possible context could there be that could put the lying and dithering in a good light? Happy to be enlightened.
Staffy1 · 08/05/2021 01:41

He's certainly charming, likeable and probably good company, but I'm not sure I could ever fully trust him.

Hawkins001 · 08/05/2021 01:42

Could you confirm who or what you mean when you say "lying and dithering in a good light?" And what sources do you use to come to that conclusion, do you just use news reports, Do you cross reference, your news sources or do you just limit yourself to one source ? Do you study any of the various reports produced on the different aspects and issues of government policies ect ?
