So I had to name change to post this. My friend was given a dog, a tiny little puppy by her boyfriend who breeds dogs
Today the puppy is going to get its ears cut because her boyfriend thinks it looks better and he will have more chance to breed. She knows it’s illegal but she said he insists. I don’t know who’s going to crop this poor puppy’s ears but I honestly feel sick about this little baby being in pain. I don’t know how I can stop this, because my friend seems passive and because he said it’s happening it just is.

Where is the dog located as different countries have different rules. Also is it a working dog breed?

I can call and give her information? I’d do anything to make sure it won’t happen. But he breeds dogs for money. The thought of him doing this over and over again. It makes me sick

Ask her if she would have her ears cut off to make her look better?

And if she goes ahead with it, I would be reporting the Incident to the police since it is illegal and I'd be telling her that's what I would be doing.

I'm more concerned that the bf is apparently planning some kind of puppy farm rather than having the poor thing as a pet!

Report it. She sounds like an asshole. Her bf clearly is too, but since she's your friend, I'd be more concerned about her asshole-ishness.

I'd be reporting them to the RSPCA and the police asap. And she would no longer be friends with me and I'd be telling her exactly why. Animal cruelty is abhorrent.

Honestly she never had any animals. This is a new boyfriend so it’s all news to me. She’s just told me it’s happening and I’m at a loss. She is so passive in this relationship anything he says goes. I’m not friends with him. I completely agree, I hate the thought of any animal suffering.

Puppy farming and puppy harming..

I couldn't be friends with someone who didn't have a problem with that.
