To think she can’t cut the puppy’s ears!

So I had to name change to post this. My friend was given a dog, a tiny little puppy by her boyfriend who breeds dogs Sad
Today the puppy is going to get its ears cut because her boyfriend thinks it looks better and he will have more chance to breed. She knows it’s illegal but she said he insists. I don’t know who’s going to crop this poor puppy’s ears but I honestly feel sick about this little baby being in pain. I don’t know how I can stop this, because my friend seems passive and because he said it’s happening it just is.

I can guess what breed this is and why her scummy bf is trying to cash in, these dogs tend to be sold to idiots and never have stable homes, sold on at the drop of a hat.
If you know his address report him to RSPCA, police, HMRC, local Dog Warden.

Can you find the website / Facebook page or phone number he uses to sell these puppies he breeds? Maybe it's on an advert somewhere that might help them find him.

If I knew where he lived that would possibly be easier to report. Because the dogs he has live there. By me giving my ex friends details. It comes back to me... obviously to stop this baby suffering I will do it. But why are people so cruel
Yeah just give her details, for all they know the neighbours could have heard and reported it. It's beyond disgusting but greed is why people are cruel. Sickening your friend is just as bad letting anyone do that a tiny baby animal

Good, well done OP.

Some characters can be very harmful, it's possible that your friend is acting under his influence and will need help to get away from him. If in any doubt about her safety call the police; if you dial 101 they will put you through to her local police station who can help. If your friend asks you for help then suggest that she call 0300 011 1111, Women's Aid are used to giving advice for those with violent or potentially violent partners.

I echo what everyone else says it's abhorrent, and your doing the right thing by reporting them, but does he think if he crops this dogs ears it will sire puppies with cropped ears?!?!

People like him always need to be reported and stopped from breeding dogs.

They don’t exactly breed them with good intentions, let’s be honest.

He definitely doesn’t breed with good intentions. I’m still on hold. I sent her an article about ear cropping in the meantime maybe to buy some time. I should of asked questions about how he sells them before this. I didn’t know this is what he did before today. I don’t think he’s violent at least not to her, but knows some shady people that I would really rather not get involved in.

I’ve lost count of the amount where I live that have been dragged up by various “owners”. The local shelter is full of the poor buggers who no one decent will take on because they have had no training and some have been brought up to be violent. Not the dogs fault. The breeding and owning of them by irresponsible needs to be stopped.

iPoor dog. I'm so glad you've reported them and I hope the authorities get to them before it goes ahead. I would struggle to maintain any sort of a relationship with her after this.

He apparently thinks he will look more attractive to potential breeders. He’s only given her this dog to do the dirty work of raising him.

I’m not sure what type of dog it is it looks like a staffy? I’m still on hold to RSPCA. I’m number one in the queue but still waiting.

This is common in the US, it’s mutilation and illegal over here. Please report this to the RSPCA they are docking ears that are natural for nothing more than aesthetic appearance.

If you can't get through to the Rspca ring your local police number, give them your friend's name and address and they will follow it up.

You're doing the right thing but I am concerned about your wellbeing given the type of guy he sounds and the people he is involved with.

If you have any way of getting his details please hand them over as the link between you and him is less obvious than the link between you and her.

He is a fucker. I’m just going to call the local police, She just ignored what I said. I said please don’t do it I can’t stop thinking about him. I even offered to pay for the dog but that wouldn’t deter him.

Is it a Dobermann? Please update and let us know that you have stopped this poor puppy having its ears cropped. The only other dogs that tend to have cropped ears are pit bulls and Great Danes. He sounds more of a pit bull type, which are also illegal to breed so if they are pit bulls, report this to the police also
