I would have said it's a bit excessive, but not all-day-hangover excessive.

Aibu to think this???

Would you expect to vomit all day after drinking this much?

Is that half a bottle.of red wine?
That's not a lot

PumpkinPie2016 · 28/03/2021 14:53

I guess it depends on the individual. Some people have a higher alcohol tolerance than others.

If I drank that amount of red wine to myself, I'd feel ill probably most of the day after Blush

One small glass is about my limit these days!

littleloopylou · 28/03/2021 14:53

More like 2/3 of a bottle. I realise with the angle and lighting it might be a bit unclear.

Completely depends on your tolerance to red wine. Like anything; some people will get a hangover with barely any, and some will be able to tolerate loads.

I don’t get hangovers, never have, so I’d be fine. My mother in law can’t drink red wine at all, a glass makes her feel awful the next day, I think she’s decided it’s something to do with different sulphites in it?

sweeneytoddsrazor · 28/03/2021 14:54

What is that 2 glasses maybe? Not excessive, hangover or vomit inducing unless it has gone off.

burritofan · 28/03/2021 14:55

I always vomit spectacularly after not much booze, so I don’t drink. DP could have a skinful and be unaffected. It’s individual.

Merryoldgoat · 28/03/2021 14:55

No. I’m ‘out of practise’ but occasionally I’ll get through a bottle and I’ll feel a bit off the next day but nothing toast and paracetamol wouldn’t fix.

wanderedlonelyasacloud · 28/03/2021 14:55

For 2/3 of a bottle of red wine I would expect at most a light headache the next day tbh.

If someone was being sick all day after that I would think they either have something else going on (such as they are coming down with something) or are really not used to drinking.

notacooldad · 28/03/2021 14:55

I would probably be ill from it as I've not had any alcohol since last August!

PandaFluff · 28/03/2021 14:55

I used to be able to drink that much but my tolerance for red wine decreased a lot and that much would make me really ill now.

StealthPolarBear · 28/03/2021 14:56

No, I'd be fine, would barely even notice the morning after.

ParkheadParadise · 28/03/2021 14:56

No, I wouldn't
I think I have a very high tolerance to alcohol. I could probably drink that bottle and be ok the next day.

Wallabyone · 28/03/2021 14:56

I don't drink much anyway, but if I drank two big glasses over an evening, with dinner and some crisps or something after, I'd probably not feel too awful the next day.

lilsquish · 28/03/2021 14:56

I wouldn't be sick at all and im not much of a drinker.

is it you thats ill OP or someone else?

Chanjer · 28/03/2021 14:56

I got to a certain age and suddenly hangovers were an all day thing involving vomiting and feeling fucking awful so now I don't do wine or spirits anymore

UCOinaUCG · 28/03/2021 14:58

I would barely notice it if I had that much. A full bottle and I might feel bit fuzzy the next day but be fine after a cup of tea. 1.5 bottles I would feel headachy and rubbish. 2 bottles and I would be vomiting all day.

Chanjer · 28/03/2021 14:58

My cut off might have been a bottle though rather than 2/3 but alcohol after effect is related to many things that change and make it unpredictable

TheVolturi · 28/03/2021 14:58

I don't think we needed a photo to show what half a bottle is 🤣
I think even a teenager could drink half a bottle without vomiting.

DioneTheDiabolist · 28/03/2021 14:58

I get that with white wine. Any more than 2 glasses and I am explosively sick all the next day. So it could be the wine, not the alcohol that's causing this @littleloopylou.

Why are you asking?

Chihuahuacat · 28/03/2021 14:58

It’s half a bottle max as the top half is narrower. I wouldn’t even notice I’d drank that the next day - it’s 1 large glass, 2 medium at most.

I usually drink about a bottle of wine a week and won’t have a hangover on that.

StealthPolarBear · 28/03/2021 14:58

But I have a friend who gets migraines after red wine among other things so might be true of her, despite her being able to drink that much wine in general

AOwlAOwlAOwl · 28/03/2021 14:59

I hardly drink these days but I wouldn't expect to feel that bad after less than a bottle of red wine. I'd probably feel a bit iffy and drink endless tea and eat carbs like they were going out of fashion the next day but I'd function fine

LaceyBetty · 28/03/2021 15:00

I could drink even two bottles of white wine and be fine, but 2/3 of a bottle of red would make me ill the next day. Not vomiting all day ill though.
