I would have said it's a bit excessive, but not all-day-hangover excessive.

Aibu to think this???

Would you expect to vomit all day after drinking this much?

Red wine dehydrates the hell out of me. If I drink it with dinner, I have to have a pint of water before bed and even then I often get a headache. Shame as I really love a good red. Hangovers are so unpredictable though. There have been times where I’ve had a couple of pints and felt like I’d been run over and nights where I’ve been utterly pissed and woken up fine.

AndAllOurYesterdays · 28/03/2021 15:15

I would expect a headache and to feel sluggish the next day, but not be sick. The exception being if I was drinking on an empty stomach which does make me really unwell very quickly

minnimiss · 28/03/2021 15:16

I can at times get horrific all day vomiting hangovers from drinking very little. I have come to realise that time of the month plays a role. If my period is due then that's when I get the bad hangovers!

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 28/03/2021 15:16

I'd be fine next day after that much white wine (don't normally drink red out of preference)

SchrodingersImmigrant · 28/03/2021 15:16

It may have been a ckmbo of the food, wine and spice. It may just never happen again.
2 large glasses of wine should absolutely not make you vomit all next day.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 28/03/2021 15:17

I get ill after a few mouthfuls of red wine, as it's one of my migraine triggers (along with tea and tonic water).

Non migraine trigger alcohol... A lot more.
If you normally fine, I would suspect food poisoning or a bug.

Beautiful3 · 28/03/2021 15:21

My boss used to vomit after a single glass of wine. She found out from her ho that she was in fact allergic to a chemical that occurs in the fermented grapes. She doesnt touch wine at all now, but can drink other things.

HavelockVetinari · 28/03/2021 15:21

It's incredibly unlikely to be the wine - as a PP said, even a teenager could drink that and not throw up all day. You've caught a bug of some kind - rehydration sachets, plenty of water, paracetamol and rest.

Beautiful3 · 28/03/2021 15:22

Gp, not ho!

CaptainMerica · 28/03/2021 15:24

I find I'm either totally fine or vomiting all day. That would be cutting it close to the tipping point for me, but it would probably come down on the totally fine side. Another glass would put me over the edge though.

LadyPoison · 28/03/2021 15:27

A heavily sulphated red will give me a bad next day. I switched to organic reds and the "problem" vanished.

Often the alcohol is blamed when it's the additives.

Quartz2208 · 28/03/2021 15:28

I had the same recently same amount as I normally drink but felt awful for 24 hours (and threw up loads). Not sure if it was the wine or what

rc22 · 28/03/2021 15:29

I'd probably feel rather groggy and a bit nauseous but wouldn't actually be sick.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 28/03/2021 15:30

Did it start next day or immediately? I can't drink wine with egg and dairy as allergens🙄
Both ends... Not pleasant. But it starts within an hour or so.

Other wines? Not even a hangober🤷🏻

Bunnybigears · 28/03/2021 15:31

I would because I cant drink red wine, any other alcohol then no.

LakieLady · 28/03/2021 15:32

If it coincided with other factors that led to a migraine, yes, otherwise, no.

LouLou789 · 28/03/2021 15:33

I am always sick if I have wine of any colour from:the USA, even a small amount. I must be allergic to something in it as no other wines have this effect (even in large amounts)

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 28/03/2021 15:33

No, I'd probably drink that much red whilst waiting for the white to chill reasonably having popped it in the freezer for half an hour or so.

lljkk · 28/03/2021 15:34

I would be very drunk if I had that much so might produce almighty hangover if no calories with it.

peboh · 28/03/2021 15:35

For me personally? No. That wouldn't do much to me at all, and I wouldn't feel the affects in the morning. For a friend of mine, yes probably. She can't drink wine for anything and it makes her feel so badly the next day. It's dependent on your own tolerance of alcohol

Norwaydidnthappen · 28/03/2021 15:35

I’ve only been sick after mixing drinks. My Mum did always tell me to stick to one drink but obviously when I was younger, I knew better. Even then I only vomited once so I’d say vomiting all day after 2/3 bottle of wine doesn’t sound quite right. Possibly a stomach bug?

Dutchesss · 28/03/2021 15:35

I'd be tipsy after the first glass, I hardly drink, but I'd be fine the next day.

Janaih · 28/03/2021 15:36

I get very ill drinking fruity red wines, Rioja being one of the worst culprits. I imagine not having any starchy carbs to line your stomach would exacerbate the problem.
I love how we tend to forensically investigate the cause of our hangovers Grin

BakewellGin1 · 28/03/2021 15:38

Depends on tolerance to certain drinks...
I can drink gin, vodka and cider fine...
Wine gives me a headache after 2 glasses and Prosecco well for me that's the work of the devil... I get a migraine after 1 glass, am shit faced after 3 glasses and am ILL the next day shakes, sickness, dizzy the works... And I don't suffer hangovers usually. Needless to say I don't drink Prosecco at all.

TanteRose · 28/03/2021 15:38

Are you in perimeno?
I can't drink red wine anymore - makes me feel sick Sad
