Argument with husband over using public.toilets

My husband has been very cautious during the pandemic (I have been cautious but I think he has been over the top). I do avoid using public toilets unless necessary, and would often go behind a busy on a walk rather than use them right now. However, it is my.period right now, so would obviously not want to go behind a bush. In the car I mentioned I might have to use the public toilets. My husband said I should.have.said this before.we.went, and should not be going a walk if I had to use the toilets. This turned into a huge argument and we ended up.only doing half the walk. I feel really angry that he would.cause a big argument over something so silly. I'm sure most people would.use public toilets right now if they had to but he is making me.feel like I'm totally In the wrong and like with most argument we.have will not back down.

I think this is what drives me to feel so frustrated. There is almost no transmission that has been demonstrated scientifically, because we just don't have that tracing happening - we are focused on the bigger risks and especially in the UK have very weak tracing. So when people say there is no evidence - this is not an argument dismantling with what I am suggesting, it is just a way of shutting it down.

Only if you ignore the fact that experiments have been set up in toilets specifically to investigate the risks of transmission there and found no evidence of transmission.
Tracing is not the only evidence.

It's not about shutting down the risks. It's about pointing out that you've repeatedly made assertions that have no evidence base, presented your opinion as fact and lied about it.

I know a person would die if they went to the moon without breathing equipment. I don't have to see it to know it is true.

That's because we have seen in many contexts the impact of zero oxygen on human life. It's in no way similar to asserting that a significant number of people have contracted coronavirus from toilets Confused Again, you're simply making things up.

Vetinari you are doing sterling work.

Hopefully your wise posts are being read by a wider audience.

I hope you have an iron bladder OP as age will not be kind to you. Perhaps ask husband if he will allow you to have a bucket in the car? You could use that in the Asda car park, for instance, instead of peeing in privacy as the rest of us do. Maybe get a selfie too?

@veterinari

Do you believe covid is airborne?

The primary route remains close contact of course, but do you believe it is airborne?

My beliefs are irrelevant. Viral epidemiology is not faith-based Confused

Covid is a viral particle spread via aerosolised droplets usually of respiratory secretions which may be transmitted by unventilated proximity to an infectious person secreting a viral load.

It makes it harder as these kinds of.things only happen occasionally, its not like we are.always arguing

Is that because you generally walk on eggshells to avoid upsetting him?

LittleBearPad · 29/03/2021 10:13

You’re both being ridiculous about the public toilet thing. Don’t see behind bushes when there are perfectly adequate toilets available.

He’s an arsehole. I suggest you get a job so you aren’t dependent on him and decide whether you want to be married to someone so controlling.

Some local places that I've been to, the public toilets have been closed & some have been open

If you have got to go, you have to go !

I agree, it is nobody else's decision WHEN or WHERE !
