To not like Rachel from Friends anymore? (Light hearted)

Inspired by the Carrie Bradshaw thread from a little while ago. I've recently been watching my Friends dvd boxset and I really don't like Rachel anymore. She's petty, jealous and vindictive especially to Ross. She sabotaged his relationships and seems to go out of her way to get one over on him or humiliate him in some way. Anyone else agree or am I about to get a tsunami of hatred from Rachel fans 🤣🤣

Individually, none of them are particularly nice. Phoebe is very unpleasant too, very of its time, quite a lot of misogyny, homophobia, general nastiness.

I’m not sure I could rewatch it again. I found Ross so annoying at the time that it largely distracted from any scene he was in.

I generally like Rachel, but I hate her in the episode where no one’s ready. She throws a stupid little princessy strop and claims she’s been ‘humiliated’ when she could have just got fucking dressed!

I always thought Ross was worse. Especially how he behaves with Rachel and Mark - coming to her work when she has that all nighter etc and then sleeping with Chloe.

My advice is don't watch Scrubs again. It hasn't held up well over time. Dr Cox is still an amazing character but JD is just awful!

Misogynistic, whiney, fat shaming and just horrible. Friends has aged better IMO despite its problems.

Interesting that people don't like Phoebe. Joey is and always will be my favourite. I don't always like Ross's behaviour but Rachel is just coming across as the worst of the group. I've just watched the episode where they go to the beach and Rachel convinces Bonnie to shave her hair off and I just can't believe how spiteful Rachel was to do that!

I don’t hate any of them, I don’t see what you see in rachel, she was always too nice.

I never understood how phoebe was supposed to be a hippy dippy one when I always thought she was quite fierce. I like her though. It’s of it’s time and bloody hilarious.

Ross was so wet and annoying I think he would invoke a nasty streak in me to cope with him, at least Rachel had a bit of backbone/ charisma...

Friends taught me how to be a “normal” teen/20 something. Helped me create masking strategies to fit in. They all had their flaws, but I think that was the point.

I'm rewatching scrubs right now and I hate jd lol.

I hate phoebe in friends as well. She's a pain in the arse.

My favourite is Ross and my least favourite is Phoebe.Shes just mean and spiteful.
Ross is so funny and gets a bad press

Phoebe was bad because she was a shit friend and would do shit like "my dead mum would have wanted this" to make them do things for her... She dated two guys at once and essentially cheated on them. She just blocked Ross for a slight that never happened. She stole a.kids cat. She didn't respect Ross's beliefs on evolution and mocked him.

Ross was my favourite - he always had the funniest things happen to him.

Chandler was my favourite until he got together with Monica - I didn't like them together.

Rachel was hilarious until she got pregnant and then it all became less funny.

Phoebe was a bitch but a funny one and Lisa Kudrow aged BY FAR the best out of all of them.

Joey was very funny, but I didn't find him that hot towards the end of the show.

Monica I didn't like at all! Especially as I had a friend very similar to her in character

I rewatch friends quite a bit but the most recent (January just gone) made me realise how self-centred and just down right nasty Phoebe is.

I love Lisa Kudrow though

The only decent humans in that show were Chandler and Monica and even they had their moments. Phoebe and Ross were the worst.

I watched Scrubs again recently. Hated JD and Carla.
Still loved Dr Cox but the Janitor and Ted are still my absolute favourites.

With Friends, I never minded Rachel (although she was very mean to Gunther), I was too busy hating Ross and his parents.
