To throw away this painting - with pic

Bought a lovely Victorian flat with my partner however the previous occupant left this truly awful painting. Am I being unreasonable to just throw it away? Partner seems to think we could sell it! I just want it gone as it’s giving me nightmares just looking at it.

I reckon the previous owner painted it himself. The man who lived under me who had severe PTSD from being in the army used to paint pictures just like this and had them all over his wall. It doesn’t look valuable to me but I am in no way an expert. I would probably put it on the street for someone to take if it was in my house.

Get it binned, I can feel the bad energy through the phone.

White sage is very good for cleansing a property of bad energy.

Of course, in 6 months time when you see it on Antiques Roadshow getting a stonking valuation, or in the DM being auctioned for 3 and a half million quid you may be mildly upset.

Get it checked. Could be worth a pretty penny. Its a fantastic painting if you like that sort of thing...

It’s so creepy that I would say it’s been left for a reason. Maybe if you remove it from the flat you will get bad luck?? I would cover it with a duvet cover and put it in the back of a cupboard.

Loving the comments. Being serious though, yes it's disturbing but it's not a 'Crying boy' if you believe in that stuff. I sure someone would pay a lot of money for it. You need to get it professionally appraised once you know it's value sell it. If it's worthless. Wait until the weather improves and put it outside with a sign saying help yourself, free of charge. Then it's someone else's problem

Not RTFT, but I'd give it away on Gumtree or FB! Someone will take it, you won't believe the things people will take if they're free!!
