My friend's neighbour spun some sob story and asked to use her WiFi for the night. Friend agreed one night only but struggled to connect to her own WiFi herself several days later. Queried it with her Internet provider who confirmed that 3 devices where connected. None of those devices were hers so she had to change her password. She also had to pay £40 extra as she had the basic package & her cf neighbour exceeded her limit. I don't know why she didn't change the password the day after she was originally asked for it.

Also, are you sure that he promised it to them for free? Horrible, dishonest people like him are expert at charging multiple people for the same thing.

I hope he charged them - because he would have then had to pay them that money back as well as getting lousy online reviews!

But yes - a shame for the couple who would have made other arrangements had they known.

My brother had two dogs-mum and daughter

Dolly the mum and dotty the daughter-not real names (I’ve been nc with him for the last 15 years and I moved almost 200 miles away years ago,so I’m guessing he bred her and kept a pup)

Anyway I’ve never met these dogs-I didn’t even know he had dogs until a few months ago when my son mentioned in passing that dolly had grown a lump and sadly it turned out to be cancer

My bro and his wife didn’t believe this so they took her to another vet for a second opinion while racking up vets bills as they went

They finally got her treatment but by this point,sadly,it was too late and she died

Here comes the cf part

For some reason they got it into their heads that I owed them 6k for the vets bills and the price of a new dog (lockdown prices)

They where deadly serious and sent me the bills (via a friend of theirs on fb,as they don’t have my new address and I blocked my whole family years ago) saying that I had to cough up or they’d sue me

I laughed and sent a message back saying as I’d never met either dog-i didn’t even know he’d got one dog let alone two,I wasn’t bloody paying anything

They sent a message back saying ‘see you in court’ (I’m still waiting)

They have told everyone that both dogs where originally mine but they had to step in to save them as I was abusive to them (I’ve never owned one dog in my life let alone two)

I know I was the scapegoat in my family (and an atm) until I went nc but this takes the piss!

I’d love to know what goes through their heads-they really believe I should pay!

I was doing a long haul flight home with DP and my sister (who lived in the same city) turned up wanting me to take some gifts home for Christmas. Three massive tins of biscuits and a kind of artwork mounted on a big wooden board (would have been carry-on as too big for suitcase.)

I knew she was a CF so said flat out no, you're taking the piss, to the board thing but agreed to the three biscuit tins. We had a three day stopover to visit friends on the way.

Got home and a couple of days later she turns up as a ' Christmas surprise.'

I said to her, 'so when you came round to my house a week ago and brought all that stuff for me to haul home, did you know you were also coming home?'

And she said, "Yes, but I was having a stopover!"

Still annoys me.

I’ve missed something here. What was their jusification for the idea that you owed them money? I mean, without one, however CFish, that’s not CFery, it’s just deranged.
