OMG I'm 11 stone

thecutback · 02/01/2021 09:18

Heaviest I've ever been.

This year has been tough, iui, then ivf, then a traumatic miscarriage and then the drinking and eating that comes with Christmas etc.

Really need to get it sorted! Very unhappy at this weight

I'm 13 stone if it makes you feel better. 5.9, but still.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 02/01/2021 09:21

I'm about 20 stone. Does that make you feel better?Hmm

Bagelsandbrie · 02/01/2021 09:22

If you’re unhappy then fair enough change it but for lots of people 11 stone wouldn’t be too bad! Depends how tall you are. I’m 5ft 7 and 13 stone and quite content with myself really. I know I could do with losing a couple of stone but I’ve got chronic health issues which make it more difficult- take steroids every day long term etc. Just focus on being as active and eating as healthily as you can - and enjoying your life.

Samesies 😘
Jinglingmod · 02/01/2021 09:23

11 stone is not a lot unless you're very short?

Sorry you've had a tough year, OP.

missmouse101 · 02/01/2021 09:23

I'm over 13 stone and 5ft. Keep it in perspective OP. Hmm

midgebabe · 02/01/2021 09:25

Good grief, is everyone really saying don't worry about being overweight because others are worse ?

thecutback · 02/01/2021 09:26

Sorry if insensitive to some, didn't mean to cause offence. Just a bit of a shock to me when my 'goal' weight is usually around the 9 stone mark.

Awful year and now I have to try and get healthy to begin the ivf merry-go-round again.

I'm not tall, either.

I'm with you.. 11 stone 2 😭 and heading towards size 14 which I do NOT want (I was a size 10 and crept up and up over the last 10 years). I miss being slim. Do you drink? I'm having 5 A-free days now and starting couch to 5k with my husband this week.

Shitonthebloodything · 02/01/2021 09:27

I'm under 5ft and at guessing over 14st. That's around 6st overweight for my height. I'm a size 16. Hardly in need of a crane to get out of the house.

Fuck it. Not the end of the world is it?!

I'll deal with it when I'm ready and the world isn't falling apart. Give yourself a break there's more to life than the size of your arse.

Yes I've been drowning my sorrows a lot recently! But I easily bin it all when it's January etc.

No, not the end of the world but it's hardly helping my mental state at the moment and all my clothes are uncomfortable.

Whatever your weight is irrelevant. What is how you feel about it.

I can tolerate myself up to a point after which I just start to hate myself. Hate how my clothes feel, hate how sluggish I feel, how I feel like an elephant moving around and how I look. I also start hating myself for food controlling be rather than the other way.

I'm now in day 7 of throwing every piece of crap food in the bin and taking control and I already feel so much better. It will be a few months before I am back to the weight I want, because I'm post menopause and the fat sticks, but just feeling in control again is uplifting.

It's all about finding the right time to take that control back.

GeordieGreigsButtButtZoom · 02/01/2021 09:30

It is completely changeable.

Buttercream22 · 02/01/2021 09:30

But if the OP is short then it might put her in the overweight/obese category.

I'm 5ft and was 11stone at one point, I really struggled with my weight and was so unfit.

Everyone is different of course.
Try not to be too harsh on yourself OP....it's just been Xmas.

Yes it's the control thing too!

It's easy to pull back from. Download my fitness pal, carefully measure everything that passes your lips, cut back on the indulgent and empty carb stuff and increase the good stuff. Aim to lose a pound a week without eating vastly differently to your family and you should get there pretty painlessly.

Good grief, is everyone really saying don't worry about being overweight because others are worse ?

If someone came on and said 'oh no, I only have 10k in savings' its seen as a stealth brag. Doesn't matter that Mavis down the road has no savings at all, or Katie with her £10k debt

louisejxxx · 02/01/2021 09:40

I’m 5’3” and 12.5 stone - want to lose at least 2 stone this year.

I don't understand? I'm really not stealth bragging. I'm actually upset

Same, OP. Nearly 11 stone, heaviest I've ever been (not including the few weeks after having a newborn).
I'm doing veganuary which I did last year and lost well over a stone.
