Today I received a blood pressure monitor and some jars for making jam/chutney. Maybe the jam making will raise my blood pressure?

What have you received in error?

6 jars of black olives. Do not like black olives. Never ordered one jar, let alone six! Gave them to the food pantry.

We found a rubber door wedge inside a very cavernous kitchen bin.

Door wedge was clearly used, (probably belonged to stock room door at the shop), but we kept it anyway and still find it very useful in the kitchen.

A yellow stickered tubular bandage.

I didn't ask for any form of bandage or indeed any item that might be thought of as a first aid thing & didn't actually know things like that got reduced to clear.

Disappointedkoala · 18/11/2020 07:23

6 calendars. Only ordered 1.

hoxtonbabe · 18/11/2020 07:26

Champagne with food delivery, I didn’t even have alcohol on the order but I was more than happy with that mistake Grin

ShaunaTheSheep · 18/11/2020 07:26

One of those giant sports direct mugs.

6 cans of glitter hairspray

Winterwoollies · 18/11/2020 07:40

25 pairs of wool socks.

dingit · 18/11/2020 07:42

Dd got 3 mascaras instead of 1. Gave her mums one even though mumma is a tramp these days and rarely wears makeup 😂

Simplyunacceptable · 18/11/2020 07:44

I got an extra Christmas tree topper and a hand cream set last year from M&S.

MadauntofA · 18/11/2020 07:52

2 travel sized toothpastes

MistyGreenAndBlue · 18/11/2020 07:55

A bag of cheese with my Asda delivery . But the best one was years ago. Ordered some sexy nightwear and I thr package was a bright pink vibrator Grin
I definitely didn't order it. Never had one before or since. Still not sure if it was a mistake or a free gift Grin

MistyGreenAndBlue · 18/11/2020 07:56

I think I preferred the bag of cheese.

ImRealHonest · 18/11/2020 07:56

I bought a fancy leather watch case for traveling That was about £150. It didn’t turn up. 2 months after the order they refunded me and it was out of stock afterwards. Roll forward 6 months, having completely forgotten about it, it turned up. I rang the company who sounded shocked, and said they’d already claimed from their courier so to keep it.

Winner.

Originalyellowbelly · 18/11/2020 07:58

Nothing, ever Sad.

13 full sets of guitar strings from Amazon when we had ordered 3. They cost a fortune. When I went back on tour with that show after a break we were still using up that stock of strings!

ScrumptiousBears · 18/11/2020 08:06

I received a whole box of goodies from The Works. Not for me but did have my name and address on it. The Works couldn't work out what had happened either so just said keep it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Youvegotafriendinme · 18/11/2020 08:06

Ordered one iron, received 4.

Order a rocking horse, it didn’t turn up when it was meant to. Amazon blamed Hermes, Hermes blamed Amazon. This went on for a couple of weeks. 3 weeks later I could 5 of them. No one took responsibility for the extra 4 so we kept them!

MadauntofA · 18/11/2020 08:09

What did you do with 5 rocking horses?!!

DieCryHate · 18/11/2020 08:10

2 huge artists desks. This was when I was a teenager doing art a level and my parents ordered a desk. It came with a bit missing. Lots of back and forth which ended in us getting the missing part plus two additional desks and being told to keep them. One was given to my dad's mate and the other went to my mum's work.

Yesyoudoknowme · 18/11/2020 08:12

Not me but my sister. A complete case of wine. Name and address were hers, she doesn't drink wine. Phoned the company and they couldn't explain it at all, told her to keep it. Weirdest thing? It came from the company my DH worked for at the time - 200 miles from where she lived - different dept and he wouldn't have known her address anyway... she donated it to the local church Hmm

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 18/11/2020 08:14

A jacket from Debenhams worth £60 quid when I'd ordered a T-shirt. I returned for a "refund". I was so skint at the time I felt like all my blessings came at once Grin

Etihad · 18/11/2020 08:16

Ages ago I ordered one of the free Premier Inn map booklets that show where they all are. One arrived in the post a few days later. Followed by 10 the next day, and between 5 and 10 every working day for the next 4 weeks. Head Office were aware, said I wasn’t only one and they didn’t know how to stop it!

Peasbewithyou · 18/11/2020 08:19

I’ve had a few things over the years:

  • a butterfly necklace tucked into a top I ordered years ago
  • a few bits in supermarket shopping including a random pair of socks
  • an extra washing line (ordered 1, received 2)
  • a size 20 shirt which I hadn’t ordered from M&S (I’m size 12 and had ordered jeans)
  • a pair of size 6 shoes inside a box that said size 8 (I’m a size 8) from John Lewis
  • and a box of 25 nit combs from Amazon (I had ordered 1) Grin
Madbengalmum · 18/11/2020 08:20
