Will black lives ever matter?

So another killing of a black man Ahmaud Arbery by 2 white men (Father and son) in US. They nearly got away with it calling it a citizen arrest and self defence. Father was a retired policeman.

They followed him, armed with guns and shot him.

Prosecutors tried to cover it up until the video emerged.
Ahmaud’s crime? He was going for a jog.

@CloudsCoveredTheSky

"All lives matter"

Can't believe people are still parroting this utter tripe.

Me too! First reply as well! The ignorance astounds me! Shock

Black lives definitely matter but I don't think you should club together the attitude of some white Americans to people of any other race and that of the vast majority in the UK. As a white person I can definitely say that I know no one who would ever treat a person of another race or ethnicity like these people did or have the ridiculous idea that 'others' are not welcome in 'their' area. It has always astonished me that there are white people in the US who think that the USA is 'their' country and no one else should live there!!

Looking at this thread op I doubt they will. Not as long as people trivialise the issue by saying that "all lives matter". They don't want to see. They don't care. It's easier living in a world where you don't see racism or discrimination. Unless you are a person of colour of course.

Sadly a lot of stabbings involve young black boys. Stabbing each other.

So disheartening to read some of these replies. I'd really hoped that the,all lives matter arguement had stopped. As I read somewhere...maybe here.. Save the Whale don't get people asking what about the other fish.

I find the UK to be racist in a more covert way.

With the new law that the government can deport those of us who were born her but have parents born elsewhere, I now feel the UK is on the oath to fascism.
