to dislike having showers with your husband/partner

Have never liked having showers with partners. This applies to husband (married many years) but also to previous boyfriends. I think the reasons are:

1. Shower is the one child-free, quiet, contemplative time in my day.
2. I have a lot to get through! Washing hair, conditioning, shaving underarms, etc.
3. One person always seems to have to stand in the cold while other is under the water. Not comfy even if switch back and forth.

So, my question is: AIBU or do some of you also dislike showers with partner? Just curious!

Me and my partner had a bath to start with candles, plenty of washing each other & touching. This followed with an erotic shower and me bent over. It carried on once we got out and into the bedroom and I can honestly say it was an immense night.

Nothing I have read so far has convinced me that I need to drag DH upstairs to the shower and lather him up. Plus I am not sharing my Molton Brown stuff with anyone.

I think DH and I tried this once, when we were first going out. Immediately decided it was pointless and uncomfortable

A PP mentioned height. I am nearly the same height as my ex and in happier times we would shower together before sex or sometimes (if the time was right) one or other would join whoever was in the shower to instigate it.
It was nice. We had a great shower then - nothing fancy, just over the bath, but really get jets.

Yeah, we'd have a wash, but not the full on shaving or hair treatments.

So, it turns out we were compatible in just this one thing!

We don't have sex in the shower but do shower together sometimes. We have a big shower and we just chat and DH brushes my hair after I've conditioned it. Weirdly we were saying the other day how many couples do you think do this. Apparently not many!

Shower sex is crap - cold and slippery

I like showering with my partner! Sometimes it leads to sex and sometimes it’s just fun and intimate. I don’t like sharing my nice Lush shower gel though xD

We shower together occasionally, not for any particular reason but just if we happen to be both wanting to go have a shower at the same time. Never tried shower sex, I'm far too clumsy for that

I've been seeing a new man and he keeps suggesting a shower together or worse still a bath!! Christ knows how we would both fit in the bath and I'm really not interested in shower sex.

I cant be bothered to try to contort myself for some tiresome odd sex in a shower.

Share a shower for sex not to get clean.

No. Tried it when I was a teenager and sex in any location was hot. Did not enjoy it even then.

NEVER EVER in over 50 years.

We put in a big shower space with two shower heads so we would 'share' and I think we did it once - I really do prefer a shower on my own. Who wants to see their OH shaving their armpits, after all!

I'm all up for sharing a shower, but thats in order to get dirty, not clean!

I’m not particularly keen of being wet/touching other people who are wet.

God no, it’s awkward and uncomfortable. Only once was it slightly enjoyable, that was because my ex’s family was rich, they had some kind of immense quadruple overhead walk in shower thing, plus side jets. To be honest I was more turned on by the plumbing of it all than I was about my ex though!😂
