To think Richard Marx was the killer in “Hazard”

Inspired by another thread about music videos.
The song Hazard by Richard Marx and it’s music video. Been watching it again after many years and I used to think it was the boyfriend that killed Mary but now I think it could have been Richard Marxs Character

I always thought it was the sheriff

ThunderPython · 15/03/2020 00:16

Totally! He was a bit too earnest in his denial IMHO.

Arrogant prick wrote a multi million song about it too.

Poor Mary.

Is it also true there are three videos all showing different scenes in different ways
I have only ever been able to find 2
Apparently in the 3rd Mary smiles and waves at the sheriff after first looking startled

This is the most gloriously random thread and I love it.

Don't know who the killer was, but on the strength of his mullet alone I vote Marx.
Maybe Mary laughed at his stupid hair and he snapped.

Who are you trying to convince Richard? Us?

...or yourself?!

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 15/03/2020 00:52

It was the cop. Richard was the weirdo that was framed.

Osirus · 15/03/2020 00:55

Haha, I listened to this song about 15 minutes ago 🤣

anonacfr · 15/03/2020 01:00

I mean come on...

To think Richard Marx was the killer in “Hazard”
Fleurdebleurgh · 15/03/2020 01:17

This is my favourite thread this week

Jente · 15/03/2020 01:18

Mary the mullet fiend did a runner and went off with Billy Ray Cyrus.

Krazynights34 · 15/03/2020 01:19

I’m now watching it to form my view. I used to think it Richard myself

Krazynights34 · 15/03/2020 01:24

And...I still do 😂

LambriniSocialist · 15/03/2020 01:26

Definitely the best thread on here for a while!

It was the sheriff! Marx had said so himself. It's an astonishingly powerful and emotional song

Ludways · 15/03/2020 01:45

Not related to this topic but I once had a roommate who was a pen pal with him. I didn't believe her until he sent her tickets to a show and she came back with pictures of them together. He was a super nice bloke.

KittyRainbow · 15/03/2020 01:48

Did Richard burn his mum and her boyfriend to death too?

I find the video confusing.

SODDI defence, both of them, we see you
*some other dude did it....

anonacfr · 15/03/2020 01:51

Ludways it is totally related to this topic!

Was your roommate called Mary by any chance?

theflushedzebra · 15/03/2020 01:54

It was the Sheriff.

I can't tell you how many times I watched this video in the 90s, as a student, in a house where the only channel played was MTV Grin I think it might have been a million.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 15/03/2020 01:56

Blast from the past! I think the mullet did it, which was why it had to go. Marx was found not guilty due to his haircut.

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 15/03/2020 02:01

I read there were only ever two, the third was a fan-made amalgamation of first couple.

The actor who played the Sheriff died last month.

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 15/03/2020 02:17

Look, he swore he left her by the river and that's good enough for me.

Brandon Flowers, otoh, you're not fooling anyone. Poor Jenny, coming across the psychopathic killer Flowers and believing he was a friend of hers.

Whilst we're talking about it, I totally believe Bob Marley left the Deputy alone.

Ludways · 15/03/2020 02:19

@anonacfr ha ha, I really wish it was. I genuinely can't remember her name, I lived there for a year and can't for the life of me think of her name. Third girl was Aida. I remember she also used to write to someone in NKOTB but only got stock replies back from him.
