I am waiting with interest to find out what happens next, following on from this afternoon's talks at Sandringham.

Poor old Queen. She can't have finished the leftover turkey yet and here she is, embroiled in another crisis.

Am I the only person who thinks it will be years before MM & PH divorce? Or it may not even happen at all. She does seem to have a hold over him..

astralweaks · 14/01/2020 00:04

I’m afraid so. Poor Harry. Glad she’s gone.

karencantobe · 14/01/2020 00:05

@Teddy1970 Can you provide evidence of this claim?

TheMustressMhor · 14/01/2020 00:06

@Teddy1970

What on earth do you mean? Who got prosecuted for starting a false rumour about the Cambridges marriage?

Mental health issues makes sense. Maybe that’s why she became a social worker.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 14/01/2020 00:08

The photos online of Meghan with her Dad are sad, she looks so happy with him, he did sell her down the swanny before the wedding with interviews.

What interviews did he do before the wedding?

After the letter was published she was dead right to go nc.

He should have been the better person and not walked into that one.

After that justification for no NC was pretty much given.

TheMustressMhor · 14/01/2020 00:08

@vadam

No - I think she will probably find a richer/more famous suitor, have an affair, and then want another over-the-top Hollywood wedding.

So divorcing Harry (and she would make millions by doing so) would have to be accomplished first.

please someone pm me if it's not the prison rumour! now totally overinvested in this thread too! and it's a school night!

karencantobe · 14/01/2020 00:09

Just googled and I can find no news stories about a prosecution.

Teddy1970 · 14/01/2020 00:09

Yes, it's quite well known I thought! She wasn't based in the UK it was either in Canada or the US (can't remember which) I thought everyone knew about her...obviously not!

karencantobe · 14/01/2020 00:10

No it is not well know. Googling throws up nothing.

SeperatedSwans · 14/01/2020 00:11

@Vadam. I predict they will either become a super couple in the US. Them being together will be more lucrative than being apart. Think Jay z and Beyonce. However what you will see is Harry coming back to do more UK based stuff and Meghan staying in the US with her diary. They will be together but not together. Now and again they will go on family holidays and control the pictures and media around it.

Or they will actually stay married quite a while till one realises it's not healthy/toxic or the other grows bored or feels they outgrow the other spouse. I'll leave you to decide which which...I wouldn't want to speculate.

karen it only comes up if you google her name, you won't find it just doing a random search.

karencantobe · 14/01/2020 00:14

So provide a link if you are going to make claims?

astralweaks · 14/01/2020 00:14

MM is not getting any younger. Her choices are limited so she’d better move fast. Bagging a Prince was impressive - bet she wished it was Willa, though.

astralweaks · 14/01/2020 00:15

Wills. Lol

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 14/01/2020 00:16

Well there's a suggestion that it might be good for Country relations between the US and UK if Americans have their own Royal.

According to the ES: MPs have heard the royal family could be shared with the US given Americans’ love for the British monarchy.

We are Brexiting and there are ideas about setting up trade agreements with the Commonwealth countries and America. Maybe M and H will play a useful ambassadorial role. Provided they keep their titles.

EmeraldShamrock · 14/01/2020 00:16

What interviews did he do before the wedding?
Not a direct interview, but a lot of family drama up to the wedding. His apparently staged paparazzi photos in a wedding suite. The families reaction to PH comment about Christmas dinner "the family she never had" I don't blame them reacting to that one.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 14/01/2020 00:16

100% agree @derigeur

NotEverythingIsBlackandwhite · 14/01/2020 00:18

@fallen121

Individuals resident in Canada are subject to Canadian income tax on their worldwide income, regardless of where it is earned or where it is received.
You have to know about someone's earnings though in order to tax them.

On 30th December 2019 Meghan's company, Frim Fram Inc, the firm behind her blog, The Tig, was registered as a new corporation in the state of Delaware.

The following day, From Fram Inc California was 'Merged Out' and incorporated with the Delaware company.

Delaware is a haven for firms seeking extreme corporate secrecy. Registering a company in Delaware does not require disclosure of the identity of the owners and for as little as 50 usd the owners can hire a registered agent to represent them. All financial information relating to the company is kept confidential.

Harry and Meghan will be able to keep their company's financial information very private. It looks like Meghan (or Meghan and Harry) is/are planning to use the company for her/their future anticipated earnings.

How will anyone, including tax authorities know how much income/profit they have? They will definitely laughing all the way to the bank if their income and company information is secret from everyone.

Almost 65% of Fortune 500 companies are registered in Delaware. Governments could be missing out on huge tax revenues.

Teddy1970 · 14/01/2020 00:19

I don't want to name names on here and I'm crap at links, can I give intials?

SeperatedSwans · 14/01/2020 00:26

@NotEverything oh well isn't that just grand, from taking tax payers money to hiding money so they don't have to pay tax. What a generous and thoughtful couple to avoid taxation which benefits the poorest of the economy its collected for. Good on them such ambassadors of goodwill.

squeamishsquamish · 14/01/2020 00:28

OMG you snobs & gossips!Grin

The only person I pity in this soap-operaesque turn of events is the Queen. In her 90s, having worked tirelessly and selflessly all her life for the monarchy she passionately believes in, only to have it all flung in her face by her spoilt grandson.

This is how it appears to me, anyway.
