To consider this wedding dress

...for a relaxed country wedding? I somehow fell in love with this dress. It is completely different to what I initially wanted. We are older, already have kids, so I wanted our wedding to be a small family affair and was planning on a very plain and understated dress (which is very me, I like to blend in the background). But I just love this one and can't stop thinking about it. I have tried it on and it looked amazing. Would it clash with our setting do you think? (A rustic farm in the middle of nowhere)

It's lovely.
Enjoy your day.

That dress looks lovely. In my opinion, it’s still quite understated, not over the top at all. Go for it! I think if you didn’t, you’d prob regret it.

snowball28 · 01/01/2020 13:40

It’s perfect! Definitely get it

Grumpbum123 · 01/01/2020 13:42

Gorgeous

WishMyNameWasWittyNotShitty · 01/01/2020 13:44

Lovely, it looks like it would be a pleasure to wear too, no faff or moving it around, beautiful choice!

FL59 · 01/01/2020 13:46

Thank you so much! The little complication is that I already picked another dress and paid a deposit for it. Money isn't really an issue as it was a smallish amount but it makes changing my mind a bigger deal if that makes sense? What if I change my mind and regret it? I love the other one and generally feel like it is a safer choice. But I wonder now if it is too plain... so hard! Doesn't help that I have about one day to decide to make the deadline ahhhh

It's absolutely beautiful and perfect for a country wedding, definitely do it!

MumW · 01/01/2020 13:50

I think this dress looks perfect.
It'd say it's a classic and is beautifully understated. Pair with a simple bouquet - search rustic wedding bouquet on Pinterest for loads of ideas. I particularly like a simple bunch of lavender and gypsophillia tied with a piece of lace that popped up.
Congratulations.

daisypond · 01/01/2020 13:50

Lovely dress.

paranoidmum2 · 01/01/2020 13:51

Go with what your heart desires. It's lovely.

MumW · 01/01/2020 13:51

Do you have a picture of the other dress?

OliviaBenson · 01/01/2020 13:52

Have you a photo of the other one? And have you tried this one on? Which one makes your heart sing?

84claire84 · 01/01/2020 13:52

Stunning. Cancel the other and go for this or you will regret it xx

betternamechangeforthisone · 01/01/2020 13:53

It’s gorgeous.

Is that Hannah from Hollyoaks modelling it?

KnightandDay · 01/01/2020 13:53

It's a beautiful dress, and would fit perfectly into your theme. Go with your heart's desire!

HuggedTrees · 01/01/2020 13:56

Go for it and cancel the other one

WorraLiberty · 01/01/2020 13:58

It's beautiful. Definitely wear it!

MyMajesty · 01/01/2020 13:58

Your own wedding is not the time to fade into the background.
(I am also someone who normally likes to fade)
This dress is lovely.

Try imagining that you have decided against it and have chosen the first dress. Do you feel happy with that choice?

FL59 · 01/01/2020 13:58

Here is the other one. They both made my heart sing when I tried them on. They aren't actually wildly different (same shape-ish) but this one is definitely more understated and is ivory. The first one I posted is "rum pink", I am not a pink girl at all. But it is very subtle so looks like a champagne colour.

the first one you posted - beautiful, much nice than the second imo

Rosehipbubbles · 01/01/2020 14:05

I'm not sure about the bust panel on the 2nd given that you are older it's plainer but more riske
