NC for this. I just read that Mark Ronson has identified as sapiosexual meaning he is attracted to intelligence. Is this a gender? I recently met someone who identifies as non-binary, she (this is one of her pronouns) is a lovely person, but I found that difficult and now this. AIBU to think I'm really out of touch and I just cant get my heard around it?

It's all nuts. I am totally lost. I didnt even know what a pronoun was since school and now its banded about all over the place. Be whoever you want to be - does it really have to have an over complicated label?

People just seem to want to have a different 'label' from everyone else! Why can't we say we're all unique, have sex with who we want, wear what we want and have done with it, without boring everyone else shitless with it all, and giving them a hard time for using the wrong pronoun.

Everyone is 'attracted to intelligence' because no one is going to start a relationship with someone they genuinely think is thick. Intelligence is completely subjective as a concept! And if Ronson is seriously suggesting that it's not then it follows that he must think that he is so intelligent himself that he can identify categorically whether or not another individual is intelligent or not... I mean ffs take ur head out of your arse mate. It's like saying 'im attracted to beauty'..... no shit mate... so is everyone, they are attracted to people THEY personally find beautiful because there is no fixed concept of beauty nor is there of intelligence... acting like there is and you have knowledge of it makes you sound like an arrogant bastard.

Sapiosexuality is an attraction to intelligence, as in an intelligent mind. It's not a gender it is classed as a kink or sexual preference such as homosexuality (being attracted to the same sex) or Sploshing (being attracted to including food In your sexual encounter).
