Pasta pesto is the best quick tea! You can add grated cheese and stuff if you’re feeling fancy but there’s no need. With sausage, egg and chips you’re having to manage three separate components with different cooking times.

With bread and butter of course.

Pesto pasta doesn't full me with urges like a sausage.

Also, could easily replace the sausages with ham and it would still be brilliant! Even just egg and chips on their own is surprisingly nice.

I like red pesto - green can be a bit too greasy for my liking.

I agree. I like to cook nice food but I think we have lost sight of how nice basic food is.

I don't think sausages cook that quickly. Yummy tea though. But I can do quicker.

Jacket potatoes are great. I hate that advert for a takeaway delivery service where they slag them off for being boring.

YES baked potato with cheese or tuna and a bit of salad actually beats everything else I think.

I get too stressed over how to make a fried egg, but at an old workplace we used to go to a greasy spoon for lunch every Friday. Every week I would order sausage, chips and beans with a can of full fat coke. Food and drink of the Gods.

Or for the quickest ever, open fridge and eat stuff, Asda 3 for £5 tapas is great for this.

Egg, chips and beans is decent too. Cheap and nutritious. I can’t understand why people prefer to eat a dodgy overpriced oven pizza.
