To declare Sausage egg and chips the best quick tea?

Simplicity and perfection.
Everyone has always forgotten how nice it is, always enjoy it and you can't really fuck it up.

Spaghetti in tomato and basil sauce. Or Farfalle with sweetcorn and bechamel.

Nah it's greasy and I always feel yucky and bloated after it.

I don't do enough quick dinners:

Sausage egg and chips
Beans on toast
Pesto pasta
Fish finger sandwiches

all absolute winners!

Although a couple of weeks ago kids wanted fish finger sandwiches. I went to local shop and birdseye fish fingers for 5 cost me best part of £20!!

Sausages aren’t particularly quick to cook, though ? I don’t like chips much, though,- after the first one, they are boring . Double poached egg on toast or omelette and peas would be my choice for a filling but swift supper or the usual standby of pasta and pesto.

Fish fingers, waffles and beans for s the best and if you fuck that up well there is no hope.

Where do we stand on sandwiches (cold filling) for dinner/supper?

Sausages not particularly quick but you just stick them in oven and wait. No faffing required

It's a lot of greasy washing up though, and not THAT quick.
Beans on toast gets my vote for being both quicker, healthier and less clean up, so sorry YABU!

Needs beans

It's nice for the kids. A bit stodgy for the adults.

Ohmygoodness this is making me so hungry, and I'm trying to diet. Sausage chips and beans, ham egg and chips, fish fingers, chips and peas, jacket potatoes with cheese and beans or tuna and sweetcorn.....mmmmmmmmmmm. Or pasta with anything. If I'm being indulgent though, and super quick, steak with green salad. Extra quick as I like my steak extra rare.

Jacket potatoes aren't quick! At least an hour and usually more than that.

And if you do them in the microwave YABVVVVVVVVU. Ugh.

Egg & chips for tea - it reminds me of ‘shirley valentine’ when her husband chucks it at the wall cos he thinks it’s a crap dinner!
