Which Crime story has shocked you the most?

So I have just been watching a documentary about Becky watts murder and everything about it was so shocking.

Jeffrey dahmer. Jeez sick in the head

I am quite interested in true crime but find it hard to stomach anything involving children

OJ. Shocking that he walked. Not really into crime so there's probably more, but OJ, wtaf.

The Fritzl case was the most shocking for me.

Quite a few.
James Bulgers murder. Infact all child murders.
Fred and Rose West.
John and Anne Darwin. Where they faked his death for almost 6 years to claim insurance.
Elizabeth Fritzl (sp?) Where she was locked in the basement for 25:years.
Jaycee Lee Dugard. The little 11 year old who was kidnapped on her way to school and held captive for 18 years.

Kelly Anne Bates and Junko Faruto - 2 women whose stories made my blood run cold, even though I'm interested in crime stories.

Poor little baby P really affected me too.

A French rape/murder case that was mentioned on one of these threads. There was a "don't google" warming and I stupidly ignored it. Absolutely horrific. I still pray for her.

I’ve never heard of the Kelly Anne Bates case, but I do urge any readers here NOT to google the Junko Faruto case. It is beyond horrific and distressing.

Ted Bundy - if his life and crimes were a film you would think it was utterly horrifying and ridiculous

Kriss Donald, i lived near him when he was murdered. I think about him quite often especially now I have a son of a similar age. I can’t imag how the men who killed him could have done what they did, and I can’t imagine how terrified he must have been and the pain he endured. It’s just a shame the men who did that to him have not all suffers the same fate.

Before this thread I'd have said fritzl but having now looked up kelly Anne bates (I'm shocked I'd not heard of her until now) and junko furita OMG!!

And in the case of the latter I'm really shocked at the light sentencing and the lack of pursuit of all the perpetrators! No wonder her parents are critical of what happened!

Yes, Junko Furuta. Seriously, even the Wikipedia article on her torture and death is too much to handle. I cannot imagine anything possibly being worse than that.

I used to live in that area and know it well. Probably outing here, but the main perpetrator of the murder of Kriss also beat my friends brother with a baseball bat causing him brain damage. He passed away 3 years ago, life shortened because of that animal.
Kriss's death was horrific..😪

Just read Junko Furita....I really shouldn't. I feel sick. That poor girl..

James Bulger was the most shocking as it was perpetrated by children.
But all of them are so awful, I cannot comprehend the desire to take a life just because you can.. especially that of children. Gangland killings and revenge murder I can at least get my head round but killing for the sheer thrill of it??

Oh.. junko Furuta. I truly wish I hadn’t read that. That poor girl and those terribly evil men. And the fact that she could have been saved. Terrible.
