Which Crime story has shocked you the most?

So I have just been watching a documentary about Becky watts murder and everything about it was so shocking.

I love these types of documentaries and have seen lots but there is 4 for me I find the most shocking, the disappearance of Maura Murray. I hope one day she is found for her family's sake. So strange. The second is murder mountain. It's on Netflix at the moment. Also the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and crystal Rodgers. All worth a watch but the Maura Murray one was the one I will always remember the most

The likes of Beverley Allit and Charles Bronson pass through those walls.However some others have done things nearly as bad that I had never heard in the media.

I read they had 10 years each maximum being 12 years for the type of crime it was only 10 years. They lived a few streets away from me to I took a lot of interest in the case. The man who went to prison was not Stanley's dad he had a similar surname Davies but he wasn't the babies dad.

I hate to sound like a DM reader, but how is it that the mother of Stanley Davis and her boyfriend only got 5 years of actual prison time each?

There are frequently appallingly light sentences given for horrible deaths of children at the hands of carers/parents. The judicial system doesn’t seem to treat them with any value

I believe they got 10 years, 5 of which will be on licence.

Also the Yorkshire Ripper, and the murder of Rachel Nickell - partly because the murder of a mother in front of her young child has a particular horror for me, and also partly because I lived in Wimbledon during part of my childhood and used to play on Wimbledon Common. But really all murders are horrifying.

70isa - the toy box killer, forgot about him! There have been characters in series such as criminal minds etc based on him! Along with the trailer, mirror and tapes etc
Early series of criminal minds definitely has a character based on him!

The Chicago rippers were a sadistic occult group who murdered and tortured lots of women. One of the members was executed on death row

Just remembered another awful one. Colleen Stan Who was kidnapped and kept as a sex slave by a couple for over 7 years. They kept her in a wooden coffin under their bed every night
