So I have just been watching a documentary about Becky watts murder and everything about it was so shocking.

OP posts:
OldAndWornOut · 12/05/2019 13:45

David Parker Ray I have just seen someone cite.
One of his victims did escape, naked apart from chains.

The sheer thought of what his victims went through, psychologically as well as physically..
He played a tape to them, outlining what was going to happen.

MabelMoo23 · 12/05/2019 13:50

I’ve just googled Junko

Why did I do that? Horrific, I feel physically physically sick.

CuriousAboutChicken · 12/05/2019 13:51

Rebecca Aylward - the girl who was murdered by her ex boyfriend (who was also 15/16) because he was bet a free fry-up by his mates that he wouldn't actually do it.

Mississippilessly · 12/05/2019 13:54

I've read a few of these now and feel utterly dreadful.

I think what I find so shocking is the ease with which some of these people end other lives, the number of people often complicit, the utter brutality of some of these murders and the failings of the police in many occasions.

floraloctopus · 12/05/2019 14:09

I won't read the link after the warnings but roughly what happened to Junko Furuta?

The one that bothers me is in my family but I won't out myself by giving details.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 12/05/2019 14:11

Suzanne capper-what she went through and that one of the woman involved had known her since she was 10. She managed to name her killers before falling into a coma which she never came out from.
Heart breaking that people can do that to another human.

romany4 · 12/05/2019 14:14

Baby P and Ellie Butler.
Still think about them years later

OutOntheTilez · 12/05/2019 14:15

I live in the U.S. Besides the well-known like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer, there are others that are less well-known but just as horrific.

Oba Chandler and how he killed Jo Rodgers and her daughters Michelle and Christy in Florida.

The Connecticut home invasion murders.

The Helzer brothers and their killing spree in California.

Human depravity knows no bounds Sad

OldAndWornOut · 12/05/2019 14:18

Junko's injuries read like a shopping list.
44 days she was kept.
Really too, too gruesome to even begin to write about.

PristineCondition · 12/05/2019 14:19

The shocking thing about a lot of these is that the murderers are out of jail and living amoung us

ChocChocButtons · 12/05/2019 14:20

James bugler, it’s frightening that two such young children could do the vile sickening things they did.

VampirateQueen · 12/05/2019 14:46

@TheCanyon yes it was Andrea Yates.

Mammatino · 12/05/2019 15:07

Baby P. Victoria Climbie. Things like this are terrifying because they should never have happened. The moors murders, little Leslie Ann begging for her life. The sick fucks like Ted bundy and the west's. I think the torturous abusers freak me out more than the compulsive serial killers.

TheDarkPassenger · 12/05/2019 15:13

School massacres send chills down me. And I never get distressed or upset about crimes, studying school massacres (particularly ones where the perp is a student) just makes my blood go cold

areyoubeingserviced · 12/05/2019 15:17

Jamie Bulger.
The video always horrified me

IntoValhalla · 12/05/2019 15:19

Shelbybear I only heard about that recently because of new of his impending release. I can’t understand how any parole board on this planet could even consider releasing someone capable of that Sad
The worst part of it all for me was that they think the baby died first, from injuries consistently seen in infants killed by a frustrated parent right? So I’m in no way condoning that, but I can make sense of it. There’s clear reasoning for that murder...but he’s never given any indication as to why he then went on to murder the other two children or do what he did with their bodies Sad It takes a seriously depraved mind to even come up with something as hideous as that Sad
And their poor parents! And the person (neighbour?) who found them on the fence - bet he never slept another night in his life after seeing that, poor bugger Sad

areyoubeingserviced · 12/05/2019 15:24

Also the young lady who was raped and tortured on the bus in Delhi. I watched a Netflix series on it. I couldn’t sleep for days. They brutal way in which she was tortured is horrific

Ellabella989 · 12/05/2019 15:25

Oh yes to the pp who mentioned David Parker Ray. Definitely one of the most horrible cases I’ve ever read about. Those poor women :-(

Ellabella989 · 12/05/2019 15:27

The Shanda Sharer murder was awful too. 4 of her “friends” beat and stabbed her multiple times and set her on fire when she was still alive. She was only 13 I think

mydogisthebest · 12/05/2019 15:28

Sadly to many to name but James Bulger haunts me. I think it is made worse by the fact there is the video of him walking away with those two evil killers.

Baby P upset me greatly and I could never understand how those sick monsters managed to get their lodger involved.

The goth girl also greatly upset me. I can't remember her name but to be kicked to death because you look different!

areyoubeingserviced · 12/05/2019 15:28

I have just read that Junko story
I wish I hadn’t

sashh · 12/05/2019 15:31

I can't recall her name but the woman that drowned her children but had extreme post partum psychosis.

Andrea Yates?

She killed her five children because she thought that way they would be in heaven and if they stayed alive they wouldn't be because they, 'acted up'.

She was in a psychiatric facility and I believe responding to treatment but then her health insurance ran out so she was sent home.

Her husband divorced her in prison and she is now out of prison, but how do you live with the knowledge of doing that?

mollysshadow · 12/05/2019 15:32

Sophie Lancaster is the goth girl. I've met her mum Sylvia and Adam her brother through the work they do in schools now, such brave people.

fancynancyclancy · 12/05/2019 15:36

What shocks me in so many murder cases is the lenient sentences. Also what some people appear to be capable off, disgusting.

Sickoffamilydrama · 12/05/2019 15:38

Andrea Yates was who I was talking about the husband should have been pursued as well. When you read around it he sounded very abusive and controlling he contributed to her poor MH didn't get her help.
