So I have just been watching a documentary about Becky watts murder and everything about it was so shocking.

James Bulger. The murder was shocking but the fact the murderers were set free a few years later was so awful.

OJ. Shocking that he walked.

No shock, he was always going to walk after the trial.

All of the above, but I'd add Katherine Knight in Australia. That is one freaky case.

Hannah Foster - that she managed to dial 999 but they didn't realise her plight is heart breaking.
Rhys Jones - an innocent 11 year old walking home from football.
Caroline Dickinson - that she called out for her Mum gets to me.
Kayliegh Haywood - groomed online. She had fled her fate and been seen outside the flat grappling with her murderer but the witness didn't think to get help.

The graham Dwyer case in Ireland. That was some ducked up shit. I felt sorry for the jury who had to sit through that trial and watch all the snuff porn clips and torture stuff.

The Toolbox murderers (Laurence Bittaker and Roy Norris). There is a transcript of one of the murders that was recorded online and it’s the most horrifying thing I’ve ever read

Having read Foreign Faction, I can understand why you might wish to set up a ransom scenario, in order to save the person you thought did it, but not the garrote (when she was still alive but unconscious albeit they did not realise that).

James bulger , Rhys Jones murder upset me for a long time and most recently Chris watts murdering his family and unborn baby, how an apparent loving dad could do that and to dump his lovely daughters in such a cruel way, then have tv interviews the next day.....cold, heartless, evil monster.

The Kim Wall murder in the submarine was just appalling - the news updates on that were pretty upsetting to read.

I knew about James Bulger already and while yes, it was a hideous thing to hear about, I don’t think it deeply affected me until I saw his mum on Loose Women or something like it when DC1 had just started walking. She described how quickly it all happened and it made my blood run cold. Even now, if I’m out in busy public places and my DH take one of the DCs to the loo or something, I can’t fully relax until I have eyes on them again.

Poppi Worthington. Hate child abuse. Allgedly after seeing her alleged Father/killer I kept thinking I'd spoken to him in a supermarket in Barrow. He'd waved at and spoken to my son in the pram. He'd said he'd twins the same age and other kids. The supermarket was an hour from where I lived at the time. I visited fairly regularly as my son loved the dock museum and we'd buy clothes etc. This man would speak and wave when we visited. I put it out of my head and thought no it can't be him! He's so nice. It was only reading an article by chance that mentioned he worked for X supermarket. I shopped at X. I'm still genuinely shocked. Looking back, the first time he spoke he came up to us. But I just thought he seemed genuinely nice. Zero red flags.

Fred and Rose West for me as it went on for 20 years and they were manipulative enough that some of their victims moved in first!

The Junko Furuta case is horrifying especially as she could have been rescued. The sentences just seemed a joke for those animals.

The Stefan kiszco case is really bloody sad! I think James Bulger is one no one will ever forget.

If I remember rightly, 3 (?) of the eldest surviving children did speak to the press in the early 2000’s, and said that now it’s all come out, some of the “strange sounds” they would hear in the house as children all made sense now

The torso in the Thames boy. That anyone could kill a child in a ritual and just throw them away.

Ted Bundy - if his life and crimes were a film you would think it was utterly horrifying and ridiculous

There is a film which has been brought out recently about the life of Ted Bundy called 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.'

Zac Efron is in it and is really good. The story is nuts, how he managed to get away with harming and killing all those girls for so long is really sad
