To sneak a McDonald's into the cinema

Would it be wrong to sneak a big mac and fries into the cinema? I usually just take a bag of sweets and bottle of water. I refuse to pay the cinema prices for food. The film I want to see tomorrow is 3 hours long, plus 30 minutes or so of adverts. It starts at 11.30am. Do you take your own food into the cinema?

I wouldn’t really like it if you were sat next to me troughing a McDonalds but the. Again same goes for smelly nachos and jalapeños.

You can take your own food into the cinema, it's a bit of a myth that you're not I think! I always take my own although I've never taken a hot meal in!

I do take my own food but not a smelly McDonald's! Why can't you have a big brunch and take snacks? I would be pissed off sat next to someone eating a MsDs, but then I don't like them. It's not exactly a meal you can leave an hour and eat, if you're picking it up not just eat it then, it's served from 10.30am

Just go and eat at McDonalds and then go to the cinema. I couldn't be faffed with carting hot food around, plus as others have said, it stinks.

I'd be really annoyed if someone did this near me. Especially in the morning. Why not just have it beforehand? It's not as of its going to stay warm so you can have it 2 hrs in.

I take it your going to see Endgame, I wouldn't take McDonald's in anyway but people are taking the final Avengers instalment very seriously. I think people would be really peeved if they had to sit next you and your McDonalds paper bag making noise.

You can't 'sneak' something with a strong smell in.

If you're going to take it in, then just take it in.

Everyone around you will know what you're eating.

Wouldn't a pret sandwich maybe be a better option, if you don't think you're going to last the distance without food?

I asked in a Cineworld a few years ago if I was allowed to take my own food and drinks, they said yes as long as it is not hot food. So I always take my own food but cold food, not hot.

I do. Our cinema sells chicken nuggets, chips, hot dogs so can’t see the problem.
I always book our seats and we sit at the end of the row so as to not cause any upset to someone sitting next us.
I don’t eat it, just my son.
I take a coffee though.

If it is endgame be prepared for some serious shade and shushing. Was silent when I saw it. No one dared eat as it would have ruined the film. My popcorn stayed in my bag. Eat before or after

No, I wouldn't take in hot food. I'd have elevenses and take some trail mix in if I couldn't wait until 3 pm for lunch.
