To sneak a McDonald's into the cinema

Would it be wrong to sneak a big mac and fries into the cinema? I usually just take a bag of sweets and bottle of water. I refuse to pay the cinema prices for food. The film I want to see tomorrow is 3 hours long, plus 30 minutes or so of adverts. It starts at 11.30am. Do you take your own food into the cinema?

The fluid nature of language means words evolve, travel and expand usage & meaning

I think you are lacking aspiration and ambition with your cinema McDonalds...

Woman sneaks pizza in to theatre, and sits in front row eating it during the show

I agree that earing is an enjoyable and often sociable act but how can it be in a cinema? You can't properly see what you are eating, you can only usually eat what food the cinema sells and none of that is nice.

I can't believe people have to eat while watching a film at home. What if you watch 3 or 4 films in a day? You have to eat during every one?

If I am eating I want to enjoy the food, look at it and savour it. You can't do that if you are concentrating on watching something.

I don't agree that it is expensive to go to the cinema either but buying food and drink can make it so.

TheInvestigator · 06/05/2019 12:31

Who has time to watch 3 or 4 movies a day at home?!?

mydogisthebest · 06/05/2019 14:40

TheInvestigator, people who are retired or people who are ill or have a day off work. I know people that watch more than 1 film in a day.

Of course it's possible

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 07/05/2019 19:46

I want to know which entertainment provider these 4 per day movies folk use
I can barely find anything on Netflix,or prime on a weekend never mind 4xday

Olbaa · 07/05/2019 19:58

I work from home and a lot of its just waiting around or doing something where I can watch films in the background. So I plough through hours of mostly Netflix, but also amazon and viki most days, combination of TV and movies though.

Southlonmum · 07/05/2019 20:03

Too smelly, take a sandwich or possibly just fries ...

Ragwort · 07/05/2019 20:06

Totally agree with MyDog, I love eating and I love films but I want to concentrate on one or the other. I don’t even like eating in front of the tv, how can you look at your food, enjoy what you are eating etc when you are trying to watch something Confused. And I really don’t like eating a ‘meal’ if I am not sitting at a table, too uncomfortable.

rodentattack · 07/05/2019 20:06

I usually take food and agree with you about cinema prices. But I would be seriously pissed off if someone near me was eating hot (i.e. smelly) food!
