To ask if you’d vote differently if we had second referendum?

I’ve read threads about how people would vote in a second Brexit referendum. But it’s more interesting - and more relevant - to know if many people have actually changed their minds. So, are there any “leavers” who would now vote remain and vice versa? What are your reasons?

Nope. I voted to remain and I'd do so again in a heartbeat.

PhilomenaButterfly · 18/01/2019 21:07

No.

PinkPomeranian · 18/01/2019 21:08

No change, still a Remainer.

formerbabe · 18/01/2019 21:08

I voted to leave.

If we had another vote, I'd vote to remain.

I think Brexit will be a disaster. If we did stay in the EU, I'd still be massively concerned about the countries that are lined up to join next. I believe free movement is a good idea but only between countries with a similar economy/standard of living.

Leaving is going to be a shitstorm. In an ideal world, I'd like to remain but with a guarantee that no other countries will be joining.

I asked my husband this. I voted remain and would do so again. He voted leave and said that he wouldn't vote again.

zoemelb · 18/01/2019 21:09

No, still remain - will be even happy with May's deal, as long as there are something on the table, so that we can just move on.

RedWineIsFabulous · 18/01/2019 21:11

Nope

Voted leave and would vote leave again

Unescorted · 18/01/2019 21:11

I would vote remain again.

missyB1 · 18/01/2019 21:12

Yes, voted leave would now vote remain. Hope I get the opportunity.

zoemelb · 18/01/2019 21:12

2019StandingforWomen why wouldn't he vote again? Biscuit

StoneofDestiny · 18/01/2019 21:12

Remain - just as the first time.

MrsDeanWinchester75 · 18/01/2019 21:13

I would vote leave again and dh who voted remain would vote leave.

Whatsnewwithyou · 18/01/2019 21:13

DH and I voted remain, would vote remain again

My parents voted leave but would both change to remain.

My colleague voted leave but would choose not to vote again.

Bizzle123 · 18/01/2019 21:14

Missy, what has made you change your mind?

OP posts:
LordVoldetort · 18/01/2019 21:16

I probably wouldn’t vote again
I desperately wanted us to stay and yes Brexit is turning out to be shit (or looks that way from the outside) but honestly, I’m not sure a 2nd vote is the right thing.
You will never make 100% of people happy in any vote but I do think that you should go with the majority regardless on if it’s the right decision or not

EverlyNow · 18/01/2019 21:17

I didn’t vote, as I didn’t think it would be necessary (assumed it would be a Remain result). If they hold another referendum, I will vote Remain!!

BambooBoobam · 18/01/2019 21:18

I voted leave and would now vote remain.

LordVoldetort · 18/01/2019 21:18

zoemelb

I’m guessing for the same reason I wouldn’t, because it shows that voting is pointless if we don’t go with the majority vote

SisterOfDonFrancisco · 18/01/2019 21:24

Leave would win again, margin probably round about the same as last time. Best not have another badly organised referendum. Our politicians don't know what to do with them.

TidyDancer · 18/01/2019 21:25

I was talking to a colleague about this today. She and her DH both voted to leave because they believed the NHS lie. She didn't clarify what she would vote a second time but her DH would refuse to vote again. I know a few people who voted leave who will vote remain given another chance. I don't know anyone who has gone the other way.

FWIW I was remain and would still be remain.

BoneyBackJefferson · 18/01/2019 21:27

How many of these do we need per week?

Or is it a test to see how many times the same question must be asked before people capitulate and do as they are told?

Tink1990 · 18/01/2019 21:28

Id vote the same way - leave

Jfw82 · 18/01/2019 21:30

Agree with @formerbabe

badlydrawnperson · 18/01/2019 21:30

The last few threads on AIBU about this asked the same so you can't have been looking very hard.

No change here - but you are assuming the same question would be asked.

ThereWillBeAdequateFood · 18/01/2019 21:32

How many of these do we need per week

People are really worried. If you’re not interested just don’t click on it.

Voted Remain - still Remain.
