What is the ultimate Jacket Potato filling?

BabyNameBook · 02/01/2019 16:02

My pregnancy craving is jacket potatoes! I can't stop Blush

My absolute favourite is butter, tuna and cheese.
Sometimes I add beans to this too, hot or cold ones. Or just beans and cheese, or cheese and red onion.
Then there's beans and cheese..
Veggie chilli and sour cream..

The potato has to be slightly mashed with a fork in the middle and then covered in butter before any toppings are added.

Also, I went to a cafe today who didn't pre butter and gave me butter in a little pot - how on earth do you add butter to an already filled potato!?

Mmmmmmm AIBU to ask what the ultimate jacket potato is?

Chicken, sweetcorn and lots of mayo
Prawn cocktail
Cheese and tuna
Cheese with egg mayo (DH thinks this is gross)
I don't like cheese and beans on a baked potato, not sure why.

Butter, cheese, baked beans, coleslaw with a salad

LearningMySelfWorth · 02/01/2019 17:49

Tbh I love jacket potatoes with anything but I’m happy with just lashings of lurpak mashed into it with salt and pepper 😂 I’m easily pleased.

Smurfybubbles · 02/01/2019 17:52

Cheese, beans, egg mayo and bacon! Sooo good Grin

sammi0805 · 02/01/2019 17:53

Cheese and branston pickle.
Or boursin cheese.
But always loads of butter first and all mashed together so it melts.

MrsMWA · 02/01/2019 17:54

Tuna mayo coleslaw

sushisuperstar · 02/01/2019 17:55

Cheese and beans.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 02/01/2019 17:55

OK...

#1 Prawns with Marie Rose sauce (but must have made it myself - in a pinch I'll accept my Mum's)

#2 Knob of butter, Maldon salt, lots of freshly ground white pepper and a blob of sour cream

#3 Butter, Grated cheddar, Coleslaw, chives or chopped onion tops

easyandy101 · 02/01/2019 18:00

Tuna, diced red onion, mayo, sweetcorn

Melt loads of butter in before adding the filling

ImogenTubbs · 02/01/2019 18:01

Butter, mature cheddar cheese, coleslaw. It's my ultimate go-to comfort food.

shpoot · 02/01/2019 18:02

Beans, egg mayo, onion. All together and in that order

Spudsandspanners · 02/01/2019 18:06

Prawn and Marie Rose sauce with lots of butter.

Coronation chicken or chicken curry.

Anything with cheese on!

SunnySideUpX · 02/01/2019 18:12

Cheese, coleslaw, jalapenos and gerkins. Yum!

HildaZelda · 02/01/2019 18:14

Bacon, beans and cheese, and lots of butter.

Aristaeus76 · 02/01/2019 18:25

Red leicester works better with beans than cheddar.

weegiehere · 02/01/2019 18:27

@Haffiana - it's bacon flavoured mayo. The Costco filling had chicken, bacon and baconaise. It's delicious but very salty.

Nothisispatrick · 02/01/2019 18:38

Sometimes I add beans to this too, hot or cold ones

Sorry I haven’t read the full thread, but you eat cold beans?!

LookBackInIngres · 02/01/2019 18:42

I’ve also succumbed.

Oven on, potatoes in.

Thanks op. Salivating. X
