As we approach the end of the year, what has been your MN highlights? The threads that have made you laugh, cry, or that you remember for some other reason.

I remember a post about being unhappy paying for a meal in a hotel because a mix up with a starter. Another post about PIL asking for money for broken wine glass.

The snapped and farted thread!

Anything starring the inhabitants of Playmoland...Royal weddings and Christmas.

The threads discussing "Doctors". They make the programme bearable and show what a lovely sense of humour the posters have.

I remember reading one about a woman slagging off this immaculate, smart lady at the school run who always had perfect hair and looked stunning in her leggings and heels and her kids had perfect packed lunches. Basically op was saying she was jealous and this woman must be really shallow etc

Then it turned out the woman in question recognised the post and her husband commented saying how his wife was the most wonderful and genuine person in the world etc etc.

OP quickly disappeared, I would not have liked to be op on the Monday morning school run

I also like the ones where people complain about cats doing a poo in their garden, that makes me chuckle

The one with a CF school mum who dropped her child off at 7am a couple of times a week and also also after school and school holidays. All for no payment, not a bunch or flowers or bottle of wine. Then the CF asked the mum to help book an activity for her daughter's birthday whuch she did. The CF didn't invite the num's child, despite all her friends going. Mum got a unanimous - she is not your friend, stop looking after that child now. The mum summoned up the courage to say 'I cannot look after child anymore its not working' and the CF blanked her. Updates were school drop offs and pick ups.

I never knew snapped and farted was a thread - just thought it was a weird MN saying!

Might not be a classic, but I really enjoyed the one about disastrous/disappointing school trips they went on in their youth. I never would have imagined that so many schools thought it would be a good idea to visit an abbatoir.

The one where the posters dh or oh, I can't remember, ate some out of date meat I think it was and we were waiting to see how violently ill they were. Although it's been a long year so I may have mixed the details up but I snorted and had tears running down my face.

Has to be the dad who lives in the woods and feeds his kids badger.

The woman screaming and crying at tourist spots then getting annoyed her husband would get embarrassed.
