As we approach the end of the year, what has been your MN highlights? The threads that have made you laugh, cry, or that you remember for some other reason.

I remember a post about being unhappy paying for a meal in a hotel because a mix up with a starter. Another post about PIL asking for money for broken wine glass.

It's about a quarter of the way down the page copied and pasted by MadisonAvenue. I'm pretty sure the original posting was in a thread from The Unexplained topic on here but I don't think it was originally posted in 2018.

Hi MIssion thanks very much!

MissKatyKat · 05/01/2019 20:43

Aww thank you for mentioning my thread, I'm the girl who kept the pregnancy a secret for nearly the whole time. I don't even recognise myself in those early messages now because so much has changed for the better, but the support I received on here was and still is amazing. I'm back posting updates on the thread now because there's even more exciting stuff happening now :) Anyway thank you for remembering me and for all the support :) xx

Not my favourite thread in terms of entertainment, but I often wonder how 'Coats' got on and if things worked out for her in the end, I hope so

Likewise. I like to think that it's all worked out to plan for her and the children and that they're happy somewhere with new lives.

Westministerenders threads. Fantastic knowledgeable contributors.

And a weather thread from OYBBK and Gloria is never to be missed.

DeegeeDee · 09/01/2019 13:23

Hi @MissKatyKat read your thread and the outcome pleased my heart. Hope you are all well x

I’ve just remembered an absolutely lovely one from a proud mother whose boy said ‘Mama’ for the first time after she was told he would never be able to talk. The whole thread were in tears.

Rachel0Greep

Snapped and farted? I really didn't get why that caused such hilarity hmm

Absolutely agree with you Rachel - not a clue!

BruceAndNosh · 10/01/2019 08:11

I'm pretty sure that if you read it back, the context of Snapped and Farted is that the OP was having an argument with her DP and lost her temper. She actually "snapped, and shouted" but obviously mistyped Shouted and autocorrect helpfully completed the word to Farted.
The OP didn't notice the typo until others posters started laughing at "snapped and farted" at which point she clarified that she meant to type Shouted.
But by then the damage was done Nd and a new MN phrase was born...

"Does anyone have the link to the part 2 of the anonymous letter from the villagers! I've just read the entire 1k thread and I NEED to know how it ends!"

The part 2 thread was deleted in the end, pippop1317. Things began to take a decidedly sinister turn for the OP and she began to worry about her family's safety, so she said she was going to the 'real' Police in the nearest town (thereby by-passing the inept Juliet Bravo); and that she would get part 2 deleted. I hope everything got sorted for her in the end.
