After committing a crime like this, it can never be guaranteed that this man is not a risk to society. What parameters do the Parole Board use to determine this? He has not been around to lose his temper/in a position to kill children while inside.

The reports details a network of 'friends' that this fiend has as support when he's out. Who on earth could be friends with something like this?

How can he even want to be released? If he had any remorse he'd have killed himself before now.

The poor parents of these children. Is there anyway they can fight against this?

OMG, they're letting him out?!

Avegemitesandwich · 04/12/2018 09:50

Jesus Christ. Yanbu!

Caprisunorange · 04/12/2018 09:50

He’s been in prison for 45 years. Don’t you trust the parole board to have all the relevant information to make this decision? I mean you don’t really know anything about him do you?

Avegemitesandwich · 04/12/2018 09:53

We know what he was convicted of. I really don't give a fuck if he turned into Mother Teresa after that, anyone capable of doing that to 3 children including a 9 month old should never ever be allowed back out into society. Ever.

LovesLaboursLost · 04/12/2018 09:54

Well the OP knows he killed three young children and impaled them on spikes. I think that’s probably enough information.

ShockedandOutraged · 04/12/2018 09:56

Caprisun No I don't trust the Parole Board. Its not like they've ever made a mistake is it?

What purpose does releasing him serve?

OP posts:
Caprisunorange · 04/12/2018 09:56

The parole board consider a hell of a lot more than the original crime, surely you realise that?

LegoAdventCalendar · 04/12/2018 09:57

I don't trust the Parole Board, either. They cleared people like Peter Tobin for release, after all.

ScrambledSmegs · 04/12/2018 09:58

The parole board were going to release John Worboys despite him being described as a continuing threat to women. I have no faith in their ability to risk assess.

MetalMidget · 04/12/2018 09:58

Killing a child in a fit of temper is fucking awful, and unforgivable.

Killing three young children, each in a different way, then impaling them on a fence... yeah, I'd be OK with him rotting in prison until he died, funnily enough.

LizzieBennettDarcy · 04/12/2018 09:59

Horrifying.

Governoress86 · 04/12/2018 10:01

He died last year! Do he won't be released

FissionChips · 04/12/2018 10:01

YANBU!

VictoryOrValhalla · 04/12/2018 10:01

Yes, trust the parole board. Is not like they’ve ever gotten it wrong before Hmm it’s not like prisons are running smoothly and efficeniently with no overcrowding and an agenda to reduce numbers of inmates.

As for him having developed self control. This wasn’t just a loss of temper. This was so far beyond that. It was calculated and deliberate. The fact he concealed the whereabouts of their bodies speaks volumes.

ScrambledSmegs · 04/12/2018 10:02

That's a good point. He's dead.

anothermothersusername · 04/12/2018 10:02

No one who does that to three young children should ever see the light of day again. What the hell is wrong with the world? Life clearly has no value to British justice system. What an insult to those poor little babies.

Avegemitesandwich · 04/12/2018 10:02

Like what? (Genuine question here, because I simply cannot believe that anyone would ever think this animal was fit release, and I am really not normally a lynch mob type).

imonlyherefortheAIBU · 04/12/2018 10:02

No no no! I cannot believe this! People like this DO NOT CHANGE!!!! You cannot come back from something that evil! He should never ever ever be released! He killed 3 children!!!!! And no I do not trust the parole board- they've got it wrong before- plenty of times, people are manipulative and have a lot of time planning and being on best behaviour in prison- it dosent matter!!!! He should never be released and it's an insult to the family!!!

Mishappening · 04/12/2018 10:03

I am always puzzled by "life imprisonment" - on the news yesterday the man who killed the midwife was given "a life sentence and will serve at least 17 years." 17 years? - life? I don't think so.

Governoress86 · 04/12/2018 10:03

Sorry I thought you meant Ian Brady was up for parole.

Any one who ever did these crimes should rot in prison.

ShockedandOutraged · 04/12/2018 10:04

He's dead?

How come the BBC and Telegraph are reporting this non story(as it would be if he's dead) too then?

OP posts:
Avegemitesandwich · 04/12/2018 10:04

Who is dead?

ScrambledSmegs · 04/12/2018 10:04

Ian Brady that is. Not this other person.

Avegemitesandwich · 04/12/2018 10:05

Oh sorry, x post.

SeekingClosure · 04/12/2018 10:05

I agree with you OP, he should never be released. I can't imagine how the children's poor family must be feeling.

There was an incident recently of a child murderer being killed soon after being released. I wouldn't be surprised if similar happened in this case too, unless the taxpayer is going to pay a fortune to give him a new identity like the Bulger killers.
